Famiclones Wholesale, where? how much?? help.

This is more of a question about buying.. Im not really sure where it fit in the forum, so please move this if need be.

I am interested in purchasing some of the famiclones, such as the Retro Duo or the Messiah, at wholesale price, then reselling either online or at the local flea market. I have emailed alot of the companies, and they never reply. You can sign up as a wholesaler at most of their sites, but they require you to have a business license. I was wondering what kind of a business license I would need in the state of Florida, and how much they cost.. And mostly before I invest in a business license.. how much do the systems cost at wholesale price, and how many units or cases do they usually require you to purchase?

Thx if anyone can help me on this.

  • I would guess that there is almost no incentive for Messiah to work with an online entity. They have their own online store front, and would only be looking for brick and mortar visibility.

You should check your local government webpage to get more information regarding the business license you would need to be able to purchase at wholesale.
  • Well ive seen alot of website selling the Messiah Gen NEX, and When they first came out, alot of people were selling them on ebay.. Mostly Im interested in the Retro Duo tho... That thing compatability rate is unheard of.. and they look great.
  • ^isn't that the one with s-video output too? It does look pretty nice for a clone.
  • Huh, I'd heard some bad feedback from Pedro (or one of the other big resellers) about the Retro Duo.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it came up in a thread about somebody griping that he sent them a dead game (it was Castlevania 3, so of course it didn't work in a non-Nintendo system).
  • Castlevania 3 works on the retro duo.. its that good.
