My best find yet! Sega Saturn Edition

So I try to not waste too much time going to individual garage sales so I head to the community sales where everyone sells at once in a center or parking lot. Got there right when they started at 7am this Saturday. First person I walked up to had a bin of Sega Saturn games. I have never seen any in the wild before so I was really excited to see some already.  I always wanted to get a Saturn but the games are pretty expensive and i figured I just wouldn't start another console collection. So I start to look at the games and see a system in the bin as well. I then ask the guy how much for the games. He said, "We'll the system there is missing the power cord so you can have all of it including the plastic bin for 8 bucks."

I almost pissed my pants with excitement and then said, "Okay, here's a ten." He handed me the 2 bucks in change and I shockingly grabbed the bin walked to my car and just smiled!!

This why we do this! Get out there, be patient and you will find deals!

  • That's a great find
  • Sweet!!!!! Hopefully it all works, but for that price, can't be too upset at all. Nicely done!
  • Holy fuck man. Enjoy Astal. Better yet, don't enjoy it and then sell it to me. >_>
  • So $10 for all that including a system?? Holy shit.

Any chance you want to sell that Shining Wisdom??
  • Thanks all. I really am still in shock. All games are in great condition. System fired up great as well. I have had my share of good deals at the sales but not a steal like this one. Had to convince the wife that I really only spent $8. She is always scared when I return from the sales.

I have the big Swap Shop near me that Penguin has been to so I go there regularly but other than that there are not any others around me.
  • Very nice pick up and super deal! I just picked up a Saturn recently too. I want to start getting some more games for it. A couple of those games you got are on my wanted list.

Edit: Here's my Saturn pick up.

That's great! Did you get the cables to get it working? Yeah, there is no way I would spend anywhere near the cost of some of the games for it. Along came this steal so I am set for now. I may want to trade something for Nights with the 3D controller though. That game is definitely one I want to play.

I've actually being mulling around the idea of trading mine. Complete in the big box with the 3D controller. Got a trade list?

  • Damn, for $8, I wouldn't be able to stop wetting my pants, I'd need a few bottles for the ride home.
  • I am so jealous, i paid $10 just for a sega saturn at a thrift store without hookups.
  • Didn't he question you when you dumped it all in a SWAG bag?
  • I found my Sega Saturn at GoodWill for $9.99.

I always thought that was a great deal..........

    Until today.

    Awesome find man.
  • Dude, that Shining wisdom is a godo $100+ Game. Sadly I sold mine awhile back for next to nothing.
  • Astal is getting way up there in value too, Clockwork Knight 2 is a good $25-$30 game, D is $20-$25, Panzer Dragoon's $25-$30, and that's just stuff I know off the top of my head. Seriously freaking awesome pickup.

He was like in his late 20's. I was expecting him to know what he had and figured he'd be overpriced.
