Stolen picture

Check out the nerve of this guy, not only does he steal my picture but he lies about it 3 times in the description!!

his listing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NINTENDO-NES-STAR-SOLDIER-COMPLETE-IN-BOX-lot-RARE_W0QQitemZ230292628847QQihZ013QQcategoryZ139973QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

Mine:

I suppose his could have the same sticker spot on the top right corner and the same brown spot over a couple letters but I doubt it

Comments

  • What an asshole.
  • That jackass again? Some of us tried to get his zelda auction pulled because it doesn't come with the small box pictured, a picture he likewise lifted from someone else.
  • Yeah he stole it, but what you must remember is ...

"I use this mothod on each and every one of my games" - and no I didn't mistype that LOL

  • "I just want to let you know just to let you know before hand as with all of my auctions the pictures in the main gallery is NOT the items you will be getting unless stated other wise. These are stock photos used only to depict what the games manuals and boxes look like that nintendo made .If any are included it will be clearly stated in the auction ,therefore you must assume you are bidding on carts only ,complete series only means the complete series nintendo nes made .to which is the complete series...If you have any Questions at all please click on ask the seller a question and shoot me one prior to bidding ....I assure you items all items Will be as described and as the pics shown on the top of this auction page !!!!!"

    What a jackass.
  • I love how everything else in his listing is bold and in color but his shady BS paragraph.Scam artist!
  • Yup, dick move on all fronts. I'm hoping somebody posted this guy in the bad seller thread already over on Auction Spotlight? He might be stating everything in one way or another up front, but this just reeks of a bad experience waiting to happen. Might as well avoid from the get-go.

Dan, why don't you start watermarking your pics?  It's probably a small hassle to prevent jerkoffs like this from stealing your stuff.

  • I'll have to remember never to buy from the asshole. thanks for the heads up.

  • yep, he's a real Shit-Head...........ban him forever...even longer

small hassle x 6000 listings = big hassle.  I reported him just like the rest that do it, my pics jump out to me like a sore thumb when I'm actively searching at least and I report them every time.  It's not really that big of a problem.  This however is the first time I've seen someone blatantly lie about it.  Half of his other pics are ripped as well

  • I think I was more suggesting that there's probably a program that will auto-watermark them for you, batch style. Heh, if you had to photoshop in a watermark on every photo, that would be a royal pain in the ass image
  • ^ If you're using turbolister, the graphics are in a subfolder. I think it's DocsSettings/All Users/Ebay/TurboLister/data// and all the small folders in there have images. You can run a photo edit program with a batch function to just run while you dash out to ship one day, and it will nail them all while you're out. Then it's done for your future listings with stock photos.
  • See, dangevin's the man image Full of useful information like no other!

I doubt I have a photo editing program to do that currently although that's far from my area of expertise so I could be wrong.  That's cool that that's even possible though

  • I got a freeware trial from download.com a while ago, it was 15-days and it put a REALLY light watermark in the corner (which is almost invisible when eBay resizes the photos anyways) and it looked like this. I'll see what I can do about getting a link to the company...anyways I just used it once, on all of my pics I had at the time, and never activated it image

    an example:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Roar-of-the-Wurm-4x-MTG-Magic-card-x4-4-playset-odyssey_W0QQitemZ350038051329QQihZ022QQcategoryZ19115QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262

    and the program...

None of the others I tried had anything functional in shareware, they all required registration, or had really intrusive beg watermarks, or other annoying things.
  • Did somebody email him? He changed the picture before ebay could see it
  • I emailed her.  After she sent me an angry response, she then sent this.

I appoligize for the earlier message .Yes you are right I had my brother fill in some auctions for me and he said he couldnt find the pics on my computer . .

Thanx for the heads up I just changed the pics ..

  • Doesnt see why he needs to steal pics just about everyone has a cellphone and most cellphones have a built in camera these days. Take a good picture in a lighted area with a cellphone and use a usb cable to transfer to the computer or if the phone emails email them to yourself very simple.People like that piss me off Only time I have ever used stock photos is for sealed board games Ive sold where I couldnt get the whole box in frame.

Oddly enough, I could use that playset...
