Need some iPod help

So, my wife dropped her iPod into the sink, yes, full of water.  It no longer works except to plug it into the computer to access the songs on iTunes.  None of the songs on her iPod are on the computer anymore, and since this is a new computer, there are no songs in the iTunes Music Library.

My question:  How do I put the songs on her iPod  either into the music library or on the computer somewhere?

    There is software that allows you to pull the music from the ipod and place it back on your hard drive. My ex had it and it save me literally hundreds of hours of uploading music.

    Ok, I thought I found what I needed, but nothing seems to be working. I've downloaded 3 different programs so far and for one reason or another, none of them work. Can someone please give me the name of a program that will take the songs off of my iPod and put them on a PC, not a Mac, and do it for free?

    When my pc crashed the only place I still had my music was on my ipod. Just drag and drop all of the contents of the music folder on the ipod back onto you PC. Depending on how big the iPod is this may take a few hours. But when it's all back on your PC you can load it all back in iTunes and it sorts it for you (since iTunes scrambles everything when it puts it on your ipod). I can't remember the actual process of sorting it on your PC but I just remember that I didn't really have to do anything and now it's all good. This, I would say, is the quickest way to get everything from you iPod back onto your PC. Those other programs are great if you're just looking to pull a handful of albums but if you want it all then just drag and drop it.

    I've heard sharepod works well, but I've never tried it myself.

    I used iPodRip on the Mac. Not sure if there's a PC equivalent.

    You sure the drag and drop methods dont work? make sure you follow the direction image , I dont see why they wouldnt work

    I've got it now guys. Sharepod worked great.



    The drag and drop method wouldn't work. I wasn't able to access the hidden files on my iPod for some reason.
