Cool MSN video about Digit Press owner
This is pretty cool.
It's an interview with Joe Santulli, owner of Digital Press and a look into his collection.

Pretty nice store he has, I'd go a lot more if I still lived in North Jersey.

How'd you get to see the basement?
too bad he's not showing off enough nintendo stuff
Yea the store is fun. They have those monthly nerd gatherings that I've yet to go to, but do plan on it.

Well, I went during a monthly nerd gathering (NAVA), and I'm tight with the DP guys, as I've been a mod over there for years.

"COLLECT THIS:" (cut to shot of the one-of-a-kind proto which only Joe owns.)

...well obviously he mentioned there are two of those ... so you have to collect the other copy because Joey is not selling his

On Joe's Blog he had a post about the whole shoot for the "Collect This" segment he did. He talks about how it was heavily edited. He mentioned in that post how he wasn't saying to collect his one of a kind proto but for collector's to be on the lookout for protos of other games as they're highly collectable.
The editing does make it appear fairly WTF is he talking about how am I supposed to get his copy.

Haha, yeah, you could tell the people who edited it didn't really get what he was talking about.

Cool. Does much trading go on or is it mostly just people hanging out and playing Rock Band?

Umm... when I was there (only once), there was a lot of trading going on. But I've seen the pictures of recent ones, and that seems to be all they're doing. I'm sure there is always a lot of trading going on, but they don't really make for good pictures. I picked up a bunch of CIB NES games when I was there.

Yea, I wonder how he amassed most of it? Like, whether it's mostly from customers at the store or if it's acquired from other venues like ebay, craigslist, yard sales, whatever.
He told me when I was there that it was mostly excess crap that he acquired from customer trade ins. I remember him telling me that he routinely gets so many copies of Max Payne that he doesn't even take them anymore.
id be all like "slap!" "No touching camp twins!"
