Had a great time buying on the road on the way up to MGC with Tink, smeagolsama and my friend Bryon who needs to sign up here already. We stopped at 6 or 7 games stores and found a few cool items. Big props to my friend Jesse for the awesome trade, glad to get some of the pieces you sent my way. Always a pleasure to deal with you. Can't wait to dive into some of these games, here are the pics:
Kathryn, Did you get that Mario Rpg on the floor or in the NA room?
Jesse sold mine in the NA room for me so I didnt see who bought it.
Haha yeah, nice catch on that N64!
I bought Mario RPG on the floor - didn't get the guy's name but he was super nice and had a lot of great-looking boxed games. He was set up on the sides across from the fountain pens.
I just wanted to say what a great time I had at the show. I got a chance to stop by and talk to some of the fellow NA'ers and everyone was super friendly and fun to talk to.
It was also nice to play NWC90 but I only scored in the 400k range so I was nowhere close to the best but it was still fun. The HDMI NES Top Loader was awesome! It looked so clear on the LCD screen. It had none of the blockiness I'm used to seeing when you hookup your NES to a modern LCD. It looked so sharp that I was sold!
Armed for battle looked promising as well. rizz was a super nice guy and it was fun talking to him about programming on the NES.
I didn't buy very much, but I got some nice stuff I was looking for. It was fun seeing you guys again. I also sold everything I brought with for my vendor table so that was pretty awesome.
Well another great year at MGC is over. The vending area wasn't as good as last year in regards to deals, but still some nice stuff to be found. Had an awesome time meeting up with everyone, we had a great turnout of Nintendoagers stop by! I was helped by a few trades with fellow NA'ers (thanks to everyone involved) and a couple items were waiting for me when I got home (Pocky and Rocky 2, Cubivore). Also made a beer trade with thesubcon which turned out great. Only negative was some of the less nice security guards of both the show and the hotel.
A huge highlight was grabbing this sign at the only stop we made on the way home. Thanks to BA for pointing it out as I would've missed it for sure. This will look great next to my Mario Turnip sign.
Awesome sign man. And, did you buy every single Zelda map at the show?! And why did someone draw a picture of Mario holding a Star of David like a ninja star on a paper plate?

Haha, no they all came in one big deal where I bought 4 boxes full of paper work.
Not sure what that mario thing is, the guy I bought it from thought it was an old sticker that was previously used. For a $1 I figured why not grab it.
There were less deals for me this year in the vending section then last year, but I still grabbed some goodies. I made it an opportunity to go to all the tables and offer to buy the plastic cases Gameboy cartridges came in. In all I nabbed about 100 of them. I don't collect much other then original Game Boy these days. I did buy a Retro Duo for $15 which will hold me over until I see what the price point on the Retron 5 is. As a spur of the moment grab, I bought a bunch of Arcade manuals and schematics. I know alot of these have gone public domain over the years, but the ones I grabbed seemed like they may fetch some decent value. 1st prints like Dig Dug, Frogger, NBA Jam (complete with laminated tournament scorecards made by Midway), Galaxian, Bubble Bobble, to name a few.
Last year I bought over $100 in $1 each gameboy boxes from that same guy who sold all you guys the SNES boxes and manuals. :-D
Over 30 Nintendo Power Issues from the NintendoAge lot
Most of the rest were for my shrines...
'
And the awesome freebie!
Also stopped at a few stores before and after the show and picked up some laserdisc and a bunch of other modern gaming treats. Those pictures are in my Facebook if anyone is interested.
This pic makes me wonder how difficult it would be to collect one of every issue with the "this is your last issue" cover. Obviously issues 12 and under couldn't have one but who knows after that. Wonder when they started sending those out?
That Contra 3 with the goofy label... has anyone else seen one of those? I used to have one of those here at the shop about 2 years ago. I wonder how many other ones are out there. Maybe that's the same one; who knows?
^^I actually picked it up on the way home at a game store. There was another one for sale at the show too. I can't remember the specifics, but there are a few games with labels like that. They are legit labels designed for some reason. I'm sure someone here knows the answer.

I have one that I bought years ago from a shop in NY. I remember making a post here and Mr. Mark explained it. I dont remember the story but they arent super expensive or anything. Legit games and really cool though!

Yeah Dave had it. I was gonna buy it but when i went back it was gone. Damn
Thanks Jobber for going in on that lot on the left with me. And thanks Jessie for the smaller lot with goodies. Links Awakening was the first game I remember buying with my own money (or maybe it was Metroid 2?) so can't wait to get that 50th issue in a frame. I have a worn copy I love looking at, brings me back. Brahsaurus Grant hooked me up with that last issue there in the shot with Jessie's, the Anniversary Issue.
Last picture is the random games or items I brought home. IB for Super Team Games should give me a complete "series" set, and those pulse lines bring me within 2 or 3 of having a loose pulse line set. Been far to long since I've had a copy or played Mario Golf (only golf game I've ever got a hole in one, on) so looking forward to playing that again. Last thing to note is that Pac in Time was one of my last 5 SNES games. Since getting home I overpaid to get another 3 off of the bay, so barring any issues, I'm down to 2 more games (plus a few variants) to have a full set. Go Go DKCC and Yoshi's Cookie
Lessons I left with. I was hoping to get the rest of the loose snes set out of the way (besides DKCC) but that didn't happen. I also hoped to leave with a lot of Gameboy and Gamecube items. Its kind of funny but those are easily the closest 2 systems to my heart, yet after seeing prices on that stuff on this trip I've decided I probably won't go for the glory on those, but as fate would have it, I've now decided to try and get a full Nintendo Power set. Imagine that.

Matt, that was an awesome trade....thanks for the paper!!! Huge props to Ryan for sharing the MMX3 find with me
Kind of crazy that after selling a few doubles of SNES carts and manuals I actually came home with more money than I went there with.

Great images from all of you so far, it's cool to see a lot of stuff I saw on the floor in the hands of NA members.

There is an issue 7 with the Power Failure cover on eBay right now.
Yeah I didn't factor in Fun Club subscriptions so I guess it would be possible. Good eye man. That would be a fun set to collect.
