He has had plenty of opportunities to own Yoshi's Cookie, but is determined to pay less than $5. Hell, Miles even walked one down from the vendor area for him to buy, but refused because it was around $10. I understand sticking to your guns on prices, big reason why I don't have a ton of money wrapped up in my collection or don't own the games I want.
Well another great year at MGC is over. The vending area wasn't as good as last year in regards to deals, but still some nice stuff to be found. Had an awesome time meeting up with everyone, we had a great turnout of Nintendoagers stop by! I was helped by a few trades with fellow NA'ers (thanks to everyone involved) and a couple items were waiting for me when I got home (Pocky and Rocky 2, Cubivore). Also made a beer trade with thesubcon which turned out great. Only negative was some of the less nice security guards of both the show and the hotel.
A huge highlight was grabbing this sign at the only stop we made on the way home. Thanks to BA for pointing it out as I would've missed it for sure. This will look great next to my Mario Turnip sign.
Awesome sign man. And, did you buy every single Zelda map at the show?! And why did someone draw a picture of Mario holding a Star of David like a ninja star on a paper plate?
Haha, no they all came in one big deal where I bought 4 boxes full of paper work.
Not sure what that mario thing is, the guy I bought it from thought it was an old sticker that was previously used. For a $1 I figured why not grab it.
It is a sticker I have a roll of them and was gonna ask if anyone knew what they were for.

And yet he admits to overpaying for three other games to get them out of the way.

I've only seen 1 of the 3 in the wild, both times it was trashed (Seaquest). The odds of finding them in the wild (in collection acceptable condition) at or less than market value is pretty slim. It wasn't but a month back on my last Vintage Stock trip to KC that every store (5+ stops) had at least 3 copies of Yoshi's Cookie. Certainly not flying off the shelves at $10 per. I've got to stick to my guns on some stuff, especially the common stuff, if I want to justify overpaying for other stuff.
I've got the 'throwing star' Mario sticker, 2 of them but the sticker glue is shot. They came off a roll so I'm trying to flatten them out compressed inside and between some players guides. I'm wondering if the guy at this show was the same dude at the Louisville show on the 8-10th.
Haha, Mega Man x3 manual was cheap thanks to a great deal, along with a sick price on everything else. Some of the other big manuals were from a trade though.
He would have had to pay a small fortune for that Buckaroo$ manual if he wasn't such an awesome guy or had some amazing stuff to trade. I want more Furious now, dammit!

Tell you what, if you knock out the Donkey Kong before my next trip down there, I'll buy you a $10 one so you won't be spending it. This offer only stands if you buy the competition cart first and the Yoshi's Cookie is less than or equal to $10.

Offer void where prohibited. Available only at participating Gamestores. Offer is non-transferable. Not valid in AK or HI.
Back in Germany and this is what I came back with. Half of these are from Ryan while the other half is from the MGC. They are all common carts and are all loose besides the Day Dreamin' Dave which came with the manual. I didn't really get any real awesome deals at the show but they are still cheaper than I would come by them over here; if I would come by them at all.
Again, I had a blast Friday night and sorry if I didn't have the time on Saturday to say goodbye to all the NA folks. Thanks for the shirt (not pictured)!
