I hate it when buyers try to take advantage of me

Things that annoy me to no end are as follows:

1.  Buyer tells me game does not work.  Number 1 - I popped open that sucker ... cleaned it ... then played it before I shipped it so I'm afraid that's called fraud or bull ... and it's clearly obvious that if there is a problem that the buyer is using a Yobo or FC Twin to play the game and KNOWS the problem must be my game because after all they know everything.  HA!!!

2.  International buyer buys my item and decides to pick their shipping cost as U.S. shipping cost when in my auctions it clearly states I do NOT ship airmail ... so no I don't think I'll be fronting the shipping cost for you.

End of rant

Rant is not directed at anyone here ... just stupid ebay buyers that waste my time and piss me off.

  • I get #1 from time to time, not so often since I clean to a shine, but when I do I just refer them to this and it usually does the trick. You can do it too, boost me up to 100 positives so I can get my pencil icon image

Yah there's a million of them...but that one's MINE image

#2, I didn't know int'l people could select USA shipping, that's odd. Did they make a US eBay account I guess?
  • 1. It's a damn shame that those crappy imitation consoles have becomes o prevalent.

    2. That's why I don't ship internationally. Nothing against foreignors, but for small purchases it is in no way worth the hassle.
  • I sold a guy a 16 game lot that he chose the games and we agreed on a price. I cleaned and tested all of them like one should. He emails me later and says 14 do not work and honestly thought my games were to blame. I have literally taken sandpaper to rusted contacts to prove to friends that NES games are practically indestructable. I have ony ever had one game that I could not make work and that was because the board was cracked. But yeah I sold 14 defective games in one lot. He must be really unlucky.

#2 I don't specify international shipping charges as standard because I like to throw in a $2 handling charge above actual shipping so the buyer has elected without my prior consent to put in the US Shipping cost ... ugggghhh

  • You can program that into your listings, for calculated there's also an option for a separate handling charge. You don't get the option for flat-rate, but it's always there for calculated. Both Turbo Lister and the eBay Seller tool have it. You might have to click "show more" or something but it's there.

In fact if you want I bet you can make a bulk edit from your selling manager, and change them all at once.

  • 99% of the problems are the consoles...............people are worried about a game not working, but there game consoles have 3 inchs of dirt & what ever is on there...........
