What should I do now? eBay/PayPal help?

I purchased a DVD (Interstella 5555) on 8/29/08, paid right away. The seller was 98%+, never heard anything from the seller what so ever. The listing is now removed, assuming it's because the user is no longer registered with eBay.

Should I file an item not received dispute with PayPal now?

It's been 19 days and I haven't heard anything from the seller before he quit or was removed from eBay and shipping from USA to Canada should have made it by now. I don't think customs would hold a DVD that I spent $8.50 plus shipping on.

What would you suggest?

  • no response, and they have your $, throw down the hammer man

the longer you wait, the worse off you'll be
  • file the claim right away. If the guy never contacted you, and he doesn't have a DC number, he's screwed anyway.
  • If they are no longer registered you want to file a claim asap
  • Filed and escalated.

With no contact what so ever figured I should escalate right away.

Heh, just checked his feedback, he's received over 191 negatives in the past 30 days which I'm assuming is why he's gone now.

Looks like he was good up until the beginning of September then just stopped sending the items. It's only $13.85 or something after shipping so not a big deal if I don't get it back.

We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your

    favor.

We were able to recover $13.85 USD and this amount has been credited to

you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.

    2/2 with PayPal now.
