Ah, so this is why the Proto sales thread went up. The life of a collector... expand the collection, recoup some costs, life goes on. Nice grab.
That money is actually going to siding and windows. My house looks great on the inside and abysmal on the outside. This spring we decided to bite the bullet and get the whole thing done. We got what I consider to be a pretty good deal on the NWC so it didn't cut into the budget much.
At least you got two of you to split the bill! This was my first year filing a married return and we're probably going to blow $6k on a kitchen renovation ourselves. Damn houses interfering with collecting!
Yep!Houses seem to eat up a lot of loot. The first year my wife and I were married ,we had to spend 3K on house repairs.
I almost got the 50 coins in Mario, but I've only tried a few dozen times now. Rad Racer, here I come!
In all seriousness, owning this game has pretty much confirmed that I am the worst NES player on the site.
Worst second to me!I can get past the Mario segment easy enough, but I totally suck at RadRacer .And Tetris another story,my wife can kick my butt she gets a higher score in that area than I do.
Any idea who the original winner was, or is that who you bought it from?
There was no original owner from what I understand. The cart was left behind at the Hynes Convention Center (along with a few others from what I'm told) after the competition left Boston.

Well you know what they say, what's one man's junk ,is another man's treasure!Congrats once again on your pickup! And what a pickup it is!

Any interesting back story on how the cart ended up where it did?

This is the "broken" one, it just needed a good cleaning and a better toaster.
I've been collecting these things for some time now, so it made sense to finally have one.
Mega congrats brothers! Definitely a nice piece for the collection. Glad to see that list of protos too, home to hear back about those too
Cheers.
