Can we get some background information on how these play etc.

They're hacks of pokemon games, they play just like any other hacks, but from what I read a while back they are notorious for corrupting at certain points or after a set amount of time.
So these are hacks but full Pokemon games that save etc. What corrupts? The save data?

Yes, I looked them up a while ago when a vendor near me had a bunch of them and I had never heard of them before. From what I read they do save, they are fan made pokemon games, kind of like Mario hacks but for Pokemon. Yes, the save data is what corrupts, and apparently if you transfer some of the stuff to a regular pokemon game, it can corrupt that one too.

Now as far as these games being on carts, that is a first for me. I have only see these as roms on the computer. And for them to be in cart form, in boxes, and sealed, this is the first I am hearing about it.
