Bug: Folders Combo Box Width Not Limited

I like to categorize existing messages from fellow members into folders that are titled after the transaction that ends up resulting from the conversation contained in those messages. So sometimes, my titles for the folders I store messages in get pretty long, which I'm okay with. The bummer is, a recent (several months ago?) update made it so the folder drop-down (which is on the left side of my view when I'm in my inbox view) takes on the same width as the longest title contained in it.

I assume this is a default thing, and works under 99% of use cases as long as you're not naming your folders something crazy. For me though, this is bad, because the combo box ends up covering up significant portions of my inbox, including some of the messages themselves.

I can at least click on what I can see in Internet Explorer, but in Google Chrome, it's even worse - many messages and widgets surrounding the combo box are ALSO inaccessible; I can't click on them!

You can at least see what I mean with the image here: http://screencast.com/t/toDIgr5ZO .

Please help!

  • hmm shorter folder names?
  • Right, I could do that, but it seems like a crappy workaround. I really like my folder names - they've very helpful for me.
  • I'll take a look at this. Thanks for the heads-up.
  • This has been corrected.
  • Dain, I just noticed the fix and came here to point out that it has been addressed! You beat me to it. Thanks a TON. It may seem ridiculous, but this makes the whole inbox WORLDS easier for me again!
  • There was a type-o in the CSS class name I was using, which is why it used to work, then didn't. I also decided to move the folder drop-down to the left side to help make it easier to read.
