Looking for SMW hacker!

Sup!

I'm looking for someone that's capable of hacking Super Mario World to change a few platforms in a hack to make it beatable on a console.

I will provide the hack, just need someone to change the locations of the platforms (or add enemies to hop off, whatever is easiest), to enable the stage/hack to be beatable.

If you can do this, or know someone that can (without referring me to SMWcentral as that place is of no help), let me know!

  • Not sure if the game you're going to hack is supremely difficult to do otherwise, but what about using Lunar Magic, -THE- Mario World level editor? That should help you.

Well I was sort of hoping there was someone on here who had some knowledge on how to do it themselves.

The creator of the hack said that I could change the stage as he didn't want to bother, but I've never done anything like that myself.

It's just basically moving a platform closer for an impossible jump... or even inserting a koopa troopa in the gap to hop off.

I'd rather not go over to SMW Central, but I guess I will if I have to.
  • Lunar Magic is literally drag and drop, there's nothing too complicated about using it.
  • Yea, Lunar Magic is very user friendly for people who aren't into the ROM hacking scene.

Also, how is it that this jump impossible to do on a home console but possible on a emulator?
  • If you want I can take a look at this hack for you.

The stage you get stuck on on an emulator has super-jump physics enabled... when running it on console settings the super jump isn't working, and you cannot finish a stage.

Cool, man... I'm going to try the Lunar Magic method myself... if I cannot do it, I'll come knocking.
