Newb questions about BS zelda reproduction carts

Hi I'm Mike I'm new here. I've been collecting zelda games for the last few years and I've kind of come to a point at which I don't have much left to get... I just bought outlands from timewalk games and I've been looking into the BS legend of zelda games and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Where can these carts be found? Does anyone make CIB versions? And have all 4 of the broadcasts games been put on reproduction carts?

If this is posted in the wrong place just delete it, as I said before I'm new here. Thanks!

  • Your question isn't technically brewery, but others ask the same information here as well.

Thanks. What about ancient stone tablets? And does anyone do boxes/manuals?
  • There are a multitude of Zelda hacks & repros available.

There is someone who has been able to put Ancient Stone Tablets on a cart but isn't making then right now and even I wasn't able to get one in time.

I'm in Alaska until July 14th and then I will be back home and can help you further. Check out my repro companies thread in my signature below and you should be able to find several addition Zelda games.

    Check out:

    Zelda: Parallel Worlds

    Zelda: Goddess of Wisdom

    Zelda: Outlands

BS Zelda: Maps One and Two

    Zelda: Shadow of the Night

    Zelda: Time Crisis

    Zelda: Ganon's Revenge

There are many more but those are just the ones off the top of my head. If you are getting Parallel worlds, I would recommend getting "Zelda: Parallel Worlds Remodel" which is an easier hack since Parallel Worlds was designed for emulation play and remodel makes it easier for console play.
  • ^^I agree Zelda Parallel Worlds Remodel is the way to go for this game. The Original Parallel Worlds is a very hard Zelda hack.As for the BS Zelda games they among the greatest Zelda games ever made .I recently traded another member here for a Zelda AST cart ,I haven't gotten around to playing it though so I can't tell you a whole lot about it.I have played though the original BS Maps 1and2 ,and I have to say it was awesome!I hope this helps.
  • Thanks! I've seen parallel worlds and godess of wisdom but those last 3 are news to me. Hopefully ast will become available too. Do you know anyone that does packaging for these games?
  • There's a few of us who're looking to *possibly* do some AST boxes/manuals/maps... will see how it goes...

The BS Zelda games are not hacks ,with the exception of the Master Quest version of Ancient Stone Tablets .Which is a rom hack of the official Ancient Stone Tablets game.Unlike the Original BS maps Zelda which had to maps 4 weeks each,Ancient Stone Tablets (officially)only has one map with 4 weeks included.

I understand how the bs games worked. I just had never heard of those other hacks he was talking about
  • Double post sorry
  • There are a lot of Zelda hacks out there, some I've never heard of before. Some of the Zelda hacks I've played are actually pretty decent games ,others I've played down right suck!
  • I'm not surprised haha there are a ton of zelda fans and I doubt most of them can design a good game. I'm getting outlands though and I heard that was good. Also love the profile pic

Zelda utlands is a decent game ,the game design is over all very well done.I prefer Parallel Worlds(Remodel)for the Snes better though.

yeah I've heard outlands was well designed I haven't seen much on parallel worlds though
  • As an update... there's apparently a European/Pal CIB repro version bouncing around out there already, although I couldn't figure out who made it (usual sources turned up nothing), and one hasn't been for sale in awhile. There was a pic posted in another thread showcasing it (with a map along with a box + manual), so they do exist. If someone knows somebody who does one of these, let me know!

And if one never turns up, it'll get written by me eventually. (I just hate having to possibly write one up from scratch if there's already a decent one in existence).

Trolling one of the 100's of Zelda fansites will probably get anyone interested somewhere, but I'm not a huge enough fan of the BS games so don't really care terribly much (right now).

I saw that pal cib but I haven't seen any others. There's a cartridge on eBay right now, though,
    http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=161058845837&index=0&nav=WATCHING&nid=93644976582
Hopefully people will start making some more since they are VERY pricey since noone seems to make them
  • That one chick who's making them wants to charge 190$ a piece... for now, I'm going to pass at that price.

It's one of those things that's on my mind though as I'm an SNES collector and the BS stuff is a fun little side-piece to a collection for sure.

If you see someone else selling the PAL set, toss me a message as I'm interested in who's making it.
