FS/WTB Section "hashtag"

Sorry for using the word hashtag but I couldnt think of anything else.

On many car forums Im on, the FS/WTB section requires you to put what state you are in so people have a better idea when they first open the thread.

I think this would be a good idea for people outside of the US on our forum. Many times Ive looked at a thread, got excited, and started to pm the person only to realize they are out of the US. Not saying I dont want to deal with "those people up north", its just that I am not going to bother with the shipping fees for a couple games.

So the Topic title would read something like

CAN: FS/FO NES Games

or

UK: WTB/WTTF Broken PS2

What do you guys think? Just throwing it out there.

  • At first thought I was like ehh..? But I think it would really benefit people outside of the US that are on the site. I would imaging someone from Germany has been discouraged way more than the rest of us by awesome FS items only to find out where they're being sold from, almost to the point of thinking, "Whats the use".
  • anything over 75 dollars they have to pay a customs tax .... ( depending on the value, can be a bit high )

any under 75 dollars they dont have to pay a tax ... just make it as a gift ..

i sent something to my in-laws over seas and they paid a customs taxes of 20 USD for an item that was 125 dollars ...
  • I like the idea of clear labeling of sales thread.

i would also like to add a tag for shipping restrictions as well. For example FS: SNES rares US Only.

On anther board the rules are you must put your country and any shipping restrictions in the title of your sale threads. It works out really well and saves everybody no mater where they live time and effort.
