Which is older SMS games with Philips Screws or Security Screws?

So I know with licensed NES 5 Screw Games usually have Philips screws and are usually older than 3 screw games with security bits. Also some older 3 screw games have philips screws as well (Stadium Events for Example)



With SMS are the Philips screw games old then the games with security screws? Looking at the last few US games to be released, Sonic, Spiderman, and few others. Mine all have security screws. Look and some old games like Wonderboy 1, they seem to have Philips screws. Anyone have any input on this?

    From what I see, it looks like they had phillips screw on the local/earlier releases and the security screws if the game was like Sonic (euro import with new UPC) or just really late in the game.



    even re-release games still have the phillips screws. My blue label Double Dragon does.
