If he turns out to be the miracle working centrist his infomercial would lead us to believe, I'll be very surprised. Of course that would be a great thing. But I don't do magical thinking. My impression is that a lot of people are going to be very shocked to learn what they've just voted for. I hope he grew out of his socialist leanings, and he was kidding about taxing 60% of our engery suppliers out of business. I really hope I'm wrong.
As we learned from the 2000 and 2004 elections, exit polls don't mean anything. Only like 7 states have reported anything. It is way too early to say anyone is beating anyone's ass.
Fox and CNN don't even seem to be reporting the same election. So it's way too early to say.

Yup, but I was very tempted to write in Ron Paul.
thats because cnn is so left wing bias its funny. Remember last election they gave kerry 4 or 5 states that he end up not winning. until every vote is counted its not over
I'm just hoping nothing like 2000 happens while I sleep tonight. It would be nice if the next president was the same guy tomorrow morning as it is now.

Most people would agree that CNN is one of the most centerline media stations in the nation. Fox on the other hand is owned and controlled with an iron fist by a right wing close minded man that played a major role in the 2000 mess. CNN always has republican and democratic commentators. Cnn has both conservative and liberal "News talk shows". If you look at Fox's line up they are all super righties with cute names, like "fox and friends" inviting you to think that a viable news morning show is being presented without partisin. Whenever you see a Fox report where they have political commentators commenting on an issue, its always two conservatives, tag teaming a liberal. MSNBC is seen by some as being left yes., but CNN? cmon. Only people like Rush Limbaugh with crazy conspiracy theories about the left secretly taking over the country think that.
Yes its true exit polls dont matter, but Obama is spanking Mccain in votes not just polls. It doesnt really matter what Fox is reporting, because Obama just has more votes flat out. At 11pm EST if you think this race isnt over untill all the ballots are counted, think again. Even it Mccain gets a bunch of states that are supposed to go to Obama, he still wont have enough. Its like being in a drag race with your opponent 2 feet from the finish line, and your 20 feet from it, and your telling yourself it isnt over yet. Doesnt matter if the winning cars steering column jams to the left, hes still gonna flip over the finish line before you.
His speach was pretty good, and I was happy it was all about bringing the country together, rather then wahoo we won, time to lay down the liberal agenda. It was all about reaching out to republicans, and keeping the country as one people.
That's tradition. When the race is past the point of no plausible return, the trailing candidate will "show grace" and concede before the cold numbers eliminate him. Although concessions have been recanted in the past when things were too close to call later on in the count.

Its amazing when a 3% difference in votes is a spanking. Really shows that there is no agreement even when electoral votes are a landslide. Also was interesting to see what states flipped this time, showing there isn't really the "heartland" that was overused in 2004.

^Most people are full of shit then. If you want unbiased news look to AP, NPR, or BBC
BBC is probly one of my favorite media stations.
^It's good clean news. Reuters is decent as well.
When im actually reading the news, its usually online, and usually from AP and Reuters, good solid sources with no agenda.
hmmm, read the bottom:
did he really concede?
did he really concede?
