Flea Market Finds for 8/24
Didn't go out in the morning, but made my way over to a local flea market at around 1 today.
First table had some meh titles, but they were a buck so I snagged 4 for $3. XBox X-Men Legends, PS2 San Andreas, RE Code Veronica, Star Ocean
At a booth indoors there were a couple interesting things. A Gameboy Game Genie, a few overpriced games and a movie for my son. I was going to get the Game Genie on the way out for a buck and left. Right across the aisle I saw a Nintendo Power magazine and a random controller on a bookcase...
The lady said that was also her space. There were about 20-25 issues ranging from issue 3 up to 109, mostly in the 20s. There was a beat up Game Atlas and some SNES/NES console inserts, which are always nice to find. On the shelf below there was a Quick Shot NES controller, a SNES power adapter and a Gameboy Color power adapter. Bundled it all up for $20. Oh and I threw in Batman the Movie (Adam West) for good measure.

Last stop was the video game vendor. He is expensive for the majority of stuff with ~flat pricing, but doesn't know the less obvious expensive stuff. Mario RPG was $35 for example. He usually gives better prices as you buy more and I can usually find a broke fat PS2 to mitigate costs, so it's worth it.
Roll up to his space (he has outside tables and a little hut) and he's closed down. Gate is up. I figure he's coming back and bum around. I see this in his outdoor glass case.

Wait for a bit and he doesn't show, so I wander off and come back. He's back... I have him pull the controller (joystick is shot) and go inside.
I find a bunch of solid PS2 and PS1 titles plus some DS stuff. He keeps throwing out big prices - $10 or $15 or even $20 a pop. He doesn't know it, but that's above/below market. I will show what I did not get later. He's got flat pricing so if one is a $50 game it'd be $10 or $15, but itf it's $10-20 then it's 10 or 15... you know the drill.
Then I start hunting his cartridge shelf. A wall full of them. The vast majority are common, of course, but there are some interesting (not expensive) titles as well. Picked up a few I wound up passing on, but did scrounge up Mega Man X and Mickey's Magical quest. I also spy a couple PS2s which he priced for me saying they didn't work (still wanted $20 each).
I had seen a ton of Batman Returns SNES and thought it'd be cool to find Adventures. Lucky for me in the very last SNES tray kinda buried under some other stuff I find it! Sweet.
The ATM was broken otherwise I would have bought some more, but I got this for $66 -- all I had on me. He wanted $70. Not an outright steal, but a nice deal considering the PS2s will sell in a second for more than that on eBay. Actually the Mickey was not part of it. I thought I the deal was for three PS2s but he thought just two. I said throw in another game and it's all good. He picked that, which was fine for me.

Here's the stuff I did NOT buy. Smash Bros N64 for $30. Mario RPG for $35. Mario Kart 64 for $25. And all the PS1/PS2 stuff ranged from $10-15 with a couple for $20, I believe. Not bad values for some or about right for others, but I'd be buying to trade/sell so not really worth it. I could have probably gotten a nicer deal wtih a huge bundle, which I wanted to do, but ... broken ATM. There's 1 more PS2.

(if you can't see that's PS2 Mega Man X7, .Hack Infection, NES Snake Rattle Roll, SNES Smash TV, Magic Sword, GameCube Mega Man Collection and Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings.)
Did I goof in passing on any of this? This post was longer than it had to be!

Anyway, good score!
If you want a $20 for $10 then you can find good stuff. If you find that $50 gem then you can get it for $10. But there's a lot of $1-10 stuff for $10, etc. Pretty standard reseller, but he's frustrating because it's sooo close on some stuff, but you just have to pass. Still, it's fun to visit. He's friendly enough too.
