South Korean mega drive games

I've been looking to start collecting Megadrive games. I noticed some of the rarer games im wanting are all coming from South Korea. Like twinkle tale and a few others  I want are only 14.00 game only and the seller has multiple copies. I assume these are all bootleg copies and seem to be slightly different labels on few. I assume they are bootleg  copies? And if they are im mostly wanting these gameskto play so is there anything I should know about Korean versions?

  • For $14 you can't go wrong. I would say from your description that they are 100% bootleg. Bootlegs seems to be of crapier quality. I would feel safer buying a bootleg that wasn't a multicart. I've head of those having like sonic without any rings and just glitches. If it's one game it will probably be ok, but I've noticed bootlegs will not work properly on my CDX. I would suggest just having somebody from here make you one, but you can try the bootleg route if you want. It seems cheap enough to be worth the risk in my eyes.

Ha, I just bought a 24-in-1 with that exact condition.  The last eight (IIRC) of the "24" games claimed are individual levels of Sonic or Rambo III, and the Sonic levels all have no rings -- or more accurately the rings are invisible.
  • Those games you're referring to come from the seller alisiadragoon. Those are bootlegs. Brand new pins and the game will fire up right away without issue. Buy with confidence. Cheaper if you're buying locally, but alisiadragoon provides a good, cheap service.

There are legitimate Samsung Korean MD games, and alisiadragoon sometimes has those, but not likely for titles you'll be looking for. He also occasionally sells legit Japanese MD games but nothing special.
  • I got quite bad experince with alsiadragoon and his MD games,

In 90% his MD Games are Bootlegs, very cheap made ( thinn cartridge plastic, PCB falling out etc )

Sometimes its even difficult to boot them up or get them out of the Genesis again ( the cartridge PCB is thicker then a regular / original GEN/MD Game )

In total I wouldnt recommend them, after a few month now a few of them stopped working. Real Waste of money.

If you really "collect" MD Games - its more fun to have them complete boxed and in working condition.
