N64 racing wheel

Grabed the wheel on the left today for 8$ (has no pedals) and the other I puchased a few months back (has pedals)

I know they kinda suck but head to head with a friend on the crusin usa games ect should be fun

Does a rumble pack work on theses.

Only reason I post it here is because the PC- ps1-ps2-xbox-gamecube ect... ones are a dime a dozen but so far I could only find these 2 for n64-ps1 in my searches so its a score for me because I like the racing games on the n64

  • Yes the rumble pack should work will it be effective? probably not but more effective then the steering wheel i have for the N64 seeing as how mine has the plug on the base and yours has it on the wheel so best way to find out if it works is to use it

PS this is the one i have http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41AJ1WRJ3VL.jpg
  • Of course this will never come close to my forcefeedback xbox 360 wheel (the old white microsoft-xbox 360 one) 30$ value village and Hydro thunder hurricane and a second audio source (hdmi and rca same time) Turtle beach adaptor from the xbox 360 to a 200w base under my char lol just like at the arcade

Crusing usa on the other hand at the arcade had no force feedback so it should be similar to it

Ill give the rumble a try asap.

Is there a rumble pack that rumbles more than others. I have many but want to know if theres a super rumble pack or watever lol. If the rumble works thats what I would put on it

The steer n win jr also has it on the wheel.
  • Yeah i saw a xbox 360 steering wheel at goodwill for $20 but i don't have the space for any more
  • If your gona grab a 360 wheel I recommend forcefeedback ones . I have a regular usb one for the 360 and its not verry good for arcade style games but I think better with need for speed stuff. It has a shifter as well as padle shifters. Theres also a preset for need for speed on the black one. Nitro brand name. paid 10$ for the black one at value village. Hard to find good 360 ones though. There are many bad wheels on the market for the 360

Heres a pic of both wheels and the Turtle beach adapter I use on my bose companion 3 base besides the hdmi cord for base effect only. If you use the right and left speakers the audio lags but isnt noticeable on the base unless you got music playing in the background

Closest thing toHydro thunder hurricane at the arcade as your gona get. Loved arcades man. Pitty they died out.

Also a pic of my nephew playing

  • To get back to my main question

Is there a rumble pack that rumbles more than others. I have many but want to know if theres a super rumble pack or watever lol. If the rumble works thats what I would put on on my n64 wheels

Do you guys know of any extra powerfull rumble packs for n64

I have a few tremor pack's. Do they vibrate more?pack's. Do these vibrate more tha
  • I don't know about rumble paks, but if you like N64 racing, you have got to play San Francisco Rush or Rush 2. Best on the system, imo.
  • Nice I have the first rush ill give it a try with my various rumble packs asap

I have lots of n64 racers but my favorite is crusin usa and or world because every arcade had one back in the day and it was allways the cheapest game to play and you could actualy play for a while and was relatively easy to beat the ai/computer players. Once it hit n64 I was like wow sweet no more spending quarters. Thus the begining of the end for most small arcades. I remember  I won a kick ass mountain bike at my local Mr. arcade for 25 cents in a draw lol good times

I have most the titles that work with forcefeedback on 360 as well and in my opinion Dirt 3 disc and Hydro thunder hurricane (arcade) download are the bests for awesome feedback but Hydro thunder hands down is just a killer racing game with so much going on its rumble/base and forcefeedback heaven lol

If only they had that game with a mario kart type action to it as well it would be the best racer ever
  • I'm glad I'm not the only person who doesn't wear a shirt when they're playing video games.
  • Any Feedback on this kind???

I got a couple off a Budd of mine wanna know if anyone has used these.....

  • Ya yours are sweet to and you got the box. The only thing is that rumble pak wouldnt do much because the slot is on the base like buddy said but for a head to head match those wheels are fine. Much harder to drive than with a regular controller to
  • I had a good idea. Ill try n use a tilt pak on my steering wheel and see if it works. Does it need to be in visual contact at all times to work? It also has low medium and high rumble. That tilt pak is sweet
  • Grabbed another wheel today for 9$.Little high but thats 3 players now that can play

I dont think this version has rumble and the slot is on the base

v3 interact. most common one ever

As for the tilt pak Im sure it wont work unless I extend the dongle to be closer or attached to the steering wheel base or something. Really its to see if it will be more acurate with racing games than the wheeel itself. Should work. What do yall think?
  • Grabbed my 4th wheel so now 4 player action. The tilt pack thing Ill try and give you guys an update. My local pawnshop has one stashed away I can clearly remember. There around 30$ here in Canada on ebay. Ive been looking for a V3fx (6$) steering wheel because its one of the only wheels that I could find that takes batteries and has rumble implemented in it. Ill test it soon. These wheels (the v3 not v3fx) are easy to find for playstation/xbox but I rarely see them for n64. Ive been collecting and going to countless thrift stores around here for the last 8 months and found only these 4 wheels above. Besides a UK wheel I saw online that has rumble as well. You guys know of any others?. Found some funny Mario / Nintendo boxer shorts for 2$ lol. 2008 Nintendo so I grabbed them.Pics below. They look new but still cleaning em lol

Also sorry about posting multiple threads for my finds. I hadnt red the rules. Ill keep all my finds here from now on.

Those other finds were better than these lol but Im sure Ill come across more good stuff in my searches

  • Here is a better picture of the 4 wheels. I like the compact one with green buttons. No pedals and its small. Its the Access line compact. Race 32/64. doesnt take up much room and has table clips to tighten. Gona test all this stuff n get back at ya
  • Grabbed this lot of manuals ect about a week ago with what I presumed was a atari 2600 system booklet. I got it for free and Turns out its a Atari Nintendo power kinda thing : catalogue of games. Ive only been able to find one and its in Australia but has Chinese on it so may be a different book.: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-2600-1982-Catalogue-Of-Games-/200962504495?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eca4c772f

Cant find much on it thats why im posting here. I think they knew how to pimp the games just not make em good lol
