ronald, you can write me down for #33 and CIB if you are going to have tusk (or whomever else) make boxes and manuals for it. just PM me when this thing is completed!
From what I have seen he hasn't differentiated in terms of price between cart only + CIB, which is a huge thing when it comes to pre-orders like this. Just saying it'll be 40$ doesn't tell anyone what exactly you're getting for your money. (And as I said earlier, if he's really going to do 40$ CIB's then he's making next to no $ unless he's soldering + got the donor carts in hand).
It's highly unlikely that this will work on a cart. I guarantee you the music will be broken. Unfortunately. That is how it always goes with these SMW hacks--if the original music isn't used, then it will be glitchy and broken making the game unplayable. I recommend testing the hack on a cart first before you put it up for preorder sales. I hope I'm wrong but I suspect I'm not.

It's weird, but from my extensive testing of Mario Hacks (I've tested hundreds at this point), there actually is SOME custom music that works fine. What tends to "break" the music (and then freeze the games) is when certain tracks with the hacks interfere with some of the other audio channels. For instance when you fire a fireball, an enemy makes a noise, etc. That's when audio-artifacts happen, often resulting in the music glitching-off and then crashing the game.
However, yeah, it's also definitely my experience that custom music is 99.9% of the time the culprit with hacks not being usable on actual SNES hardware.
Think his ambition (ronald's) was bigger then his understanding on how tough it is to not only make a working, good, viable hack that's 100% playable on an SNES... but to also produce quality manuals/boxes in a decent quantity.

Pre-orders are still available.
Could you please give us all a bit more info (ESPECIALLY HOW MUCH IT WILL COST)?!? Thank you.

Pre-orders are still available.
Weren't you just questioning whether you should finish this project or not? I would highly advise not doing preorders....
I replied to your PM, that I'm still down for one
Thx man

You haven't listed a price point...?
Extremely cheap for a CIB LE release I've gotta say.
