Something a little more close to home
So when I was a real little kid, my father gave me all his little hotwheels and Matchbox cars. I always thought it was strange how the ones I loved the most were the ones my dad had as a kid as well. Maybe it's cause they were of the first I ever had, even though at one point I had every hotwheels car on the shelf at Walmart.
Either way, over the years, I played with them, beat them, threw them, and destroyed them. And a couple weeks ago I found all of my old Hotwheels cases (maybe 400 cars now), and I pulled out the ones I liked the most as a kid. I only pulled out maybe 10 cars, and I thought it was interesting that 9 of the 10 I pulled out were ones I got from my dad.
They are all beat to shit, so I set out on a goal to find another copy of each of those 9 cars in better condition...
Well, today I found my first one at a flea market. I told the guy running the booth my goal and brought in my version of the car (one on the Right), and he ended up donating the car on the Left

That'd be awesome, but people want some crazy money for little dicast cars, and I'm sure my list isn't the easiest to come by. I know one is a real early Johnny Lightning, and another is a Road Master Flyers Super Car. I have 7 of the other 8 cars sitting here. If anyone would be interested in keeping their eyes out for for them cheap, I can post some pictures for a "general" idea of what they look like

Nice! I know my dad collected around 4k matchbox cars/planes over the years. 90% are still sealed too. The ones that aren't are beat to hell like yours i'm sure.
Thats crazy! I have I think 2 of the matchbox planes, but they weren't really anything I treasured as a kid..
And beat to hell is kind of a nice way to describe the condition. The charger is a pretty decent comparison, but some are skidmarks lol

I don't know why i love the pink color so much on these chargers
The ones pictured: found most on eBay, but don't really want to use eBay
1 - Cannot find any info on the white and blue racecar. says nothing but "made in China" on the bottom
2 - Orange Mini is Matchbox "racing mini" Circa 1970
3 - Racing Wheels "lola climax GT R101"
4 - Matchbox "Field Car" circa 1969 (used to be yellow) --- Dude that I got the charger from thinks he has this one in good condition
5 - Road Master Flyers Super Car "Ford Zodiac Estate" (used to be yellow as well)
6 - Johnny Lightning "Custom 32 Ford"
7 - Yatming NO. 1064 Chevy Blazer (cannot find it with this paint job)
I have a few of the hotwheels launchers and I still remember seeing how far down the hallway I could get the different cars.
