This really doesn't surprise me at all. With his frequent hiccups over the last year I kind of had a bad feeling about hounder for a while. He has always had a lot of people vouching for him though through all his mishaps so he must have been a good guy to deal with at some point. Its sad that it ended this way.

If you payed with paypal file a claim cause you should still be in the 90 day time period to file a claim. Hopefully we can find a way to get everyone there money back.

He was supposedly having all these rare VCS games coming in and people were chomping at the bit to buy/trade for them. I thought it was bogus at first, but then Dreamtr posted in the thread at some point to vouch for him so I was beginning to think Hounder was the new "Mr. Rare" for Atari, to go along with all the "finds" he was supposedly making in the NES realm at the time.
Ah well... scammers will always be around I guess, it just strikes a chord when the guy is a reputable member and you can actually look at pics of the guy who did the scamming.

I have known him for prob 4-5 years now. He joined up on NESworld about the same time I did. We became pretty good friends and talked alot. I can usually smell bullshit with people as well, and I am SHOCKED. He was known to kinda disappear for a few days or a week sometimes but he always finished his trades and paid his debts. I got some of my hardest to find items from him.
As much as I hate to say it, I would give him a few more days to be nice and then contact the police, postal inspectors, IC3, and Interpol. Be understanding is one, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. I know for a fact he has 3 people #'s he could call, 2 of those #'s are people he scammed so he can make this right if he wants.

rbudrick: I've had some good deals in the past, and he actually ASKED me to vouch for him in the Atari thread so people would not think he was full of shit. Really pisses me off now that he probably never had any of those rare 2600 games or Stadium Events boxes for sale which if he REALLY needed money, he could have sold ALL of these. People can be so selfish sometimes they don't even look at the complete picture. We had a good deal, I did a favor and now look. It's exactly why when people ask me to give them references for jobs, and I only know them slightly, I won't touch that with a 10 foot pole anymore. Too many issues with people nowadays.

I told him on email yesterday that he could sell me one of those 2 SE boxes and pay off a ton of his debt but he said he wanted to keep it still. SINGULAR... so I don't know wether he sold one, or now really only has one, or is just all not true... still never seen pics. He always had a knack for finding rare stuff so I have to give him that... but he obviously has a camera now to be making these auctions SO........................
