I'm sick of dealing with shoddy sellers like this. I asked how much an acrylic case would be, and they quoted me '$24' shipped. After buying the item, they kept sending me invoices for '$25' shipped. Yes, it's $1, but don't quote me a price, make me purchase an item, and then try to raise your price.
Eventually, after sending numerous messages to please rectify the problem, they told me they're too busy for me and I should try another seller.
What in the hell is this BS?
Avoid this crappy seller by all costs, I can tell the quality of the case would be shit regardless.
'"1 Dollar no I dont think so....you can try cga I think it's one month with them too busy for your business right now check with me in about 2 weeks if cga can't help you thanks A&A acrylic's!"
"Have a Nice Day I am the biggest in southern California I gave you a good lead over 1 dollar wow...my apologies thanks A&A acrylic's!
"I can't take your order right now..if I do It will take longer than the last time I spoke to you I get many orders everyday My apologies I am contacting ebay right now...Do as you please you are not a buyer of mine....A&A acrylic's!
Not true. I was in a really messy situation with a seller from Europe and somehow Ebay ruled against me. Absolute ridiculous. Even calling them up now yields no help.
Don't you see that making a fuss over 1 dollar is a bit strange though?
I have never heard of ebay "removing" buyer protection. That must be pretty rare.
The seller should have canceled it. Canceling it refunds his money as does an unpaid case, but is nicer. Now he's opened himself up to negative feedback from you. Canceled sales get feedback also though which is risky.
I had a cancelled sale due to me being an idiot and buying something for the wrong console and was able to leave and get positive feedback. I gave them high marks for being polite and 4 stars for communication. Karma is real.
Sometime the tenacity of the 'expert' on staff at Half Price Books blows me away seeing they like to range from hot and cold. Hot, they'll look at the high end paying price someone will do on amazon or maybe ebay if it's scarce and go from there, sometimes higher including the shipping or whatever, or in rare cases worse. Sometimes they just don't care or they miss one and it's a score.
I like making a game of it at times seeing how long they'll be tenacious with their high end dumb pricing. Back on Feb 15th of this year they put out Kendo Rage (SNES) for $30. I've wanted the game, but not enough to chip into my paypal over time or compete over it keeping it around $10 or less (it'll go a little over, but it's not a $20 let alone $30 game.) I hit the store maybe once a week or two, still sits, sat through 20, 30 and even a 40% off sale with no bites. Finally today though they misprinted the day as 47(not 17) they lowered it to $10. I snapped it up. It has been bugging me, but I refused to take the hit and I just love it when these dragged out waits pay off as it's fun. I've done it on a few other items before, it takes time, but makes it all the most fun in the end.

So it was 100% your fault and you dinged them on communication anyway?

No, I gave them positive. Is it 5 stars instead of 4, can't remember. My point was that were were able to give feedback and I gave them fully positive feedback since we worked it out. If the seller for d4rk mario wanted to he could give neg and d4rk could as well.
I thought you could neg non-payers. Wow, ebay has gotten a bit crazy haven't they. I know when I sold a game they held my money in limbo and I had to jump through a few hoops to get it back. GameGavel is looking better every day.

game gavel doesnt get you near the money ebay will though. Its a good place to buy.

Is this one going up in price? I remember passing on a Kendo Rage at a retro store that was maybe $3-5 bucks (apparently the SNES selection wasn't Buy 2, Get 1 Free that day).
Sells 10-15 as a cart, $30 complete for a bulk of them but you get screwy listings and bad/good luck in there too. It was that way when those tools put it on the floor in February for $30 which is why I just monitored it and got laughs when it failed during those steep sales. Goof bag game to no end, quite fun though to as it's just bizarre.

Yeah, it's one of those rental + bargin titles I'd like to try myself, if I could get it for next to nothing XD I guess you can't blame the store for trying to turn a profit, though they gotta realize eventually that not too many people locally are looking for obscure titles like this.
I'm venting another complaint about the f*cking ridiculous Global Shipping Program. How the hell can Ebay and Pitney straight up refuse to combine shipping on orders? It makes absolutely no sense. Two packages that are going to the SAME FINAL ADDRESS must be sent to them separately (shipping AND import costs paid on both items, of course!) only to be opened and transferred to the same box anyway. What a joke.
I just went through a long nightmare of working with a seller to purchase two items without the GSP. Most of the sellers that are opted into the program are not well informed at all of the exact details of it. They really do believe in the garbage that Ebay claims of it being "so much cheaper and easier and safer" than the alternatives.
EDIT: The last time I purchased a CIB SNES game that was opted into the GSP, it came crammed in a tiny box almost exactly the same dimensions as the game itself. And when it was put in the box, it was dented. I messaged the seller to express my disappointment in the poor shipping conditions and the seller themselves was shocked as well. They had sent it in a larger box with bubble wrap and newspaper padding. Pitney Bowes had opened the package to lighten and downsize it to save on THEIR shipping costs. Despite my having paid the stated costs for shipping.
Oh I don't blame them for trying, but what's hilarious is that they never learn. They'll check prices and try higher and it never ever works as I think people in my east side of town either are well informed, don't care about old games, or think all of it is too much. I could go down the street now and pay $42 for Zelda Collectors Ed for GC with no manual and a rough case. They've had for 4+ months a rough blackbox of Excitebike with the game, no manual, slip and styro for $30 that even on a 20% off sale sat there so far. They do have a few ok things, but it's niche, like Mega Man Gamegear for $40 I'm sort of surprised hasn't gone as it's not reseller good but player sure. It's nice to get flips if you can there, but mostly I like to find stuff around ebay's low end of sellable pricing or a little under and keep it as it makes a nice mini hunt when I'm bored.
Some douche is trying to get me on for an "item not as described" case. My question is, can Ebay force me to refund money even though I have a "No Returns" policy stated in the listing? Buyer says the disc is scratched, but also says that it is 100% working. Do these things ever get settled in the seller's favor?
Here's the listing. the item meets every critieria of "Very Good" condition.

Good deal. I'd much rather sell things here, but stuff doesn't move nearly as fast here as it does on ebay. Even with lower prices...
Well here there's only a couple thousand members who are active, so a lot less of an audience. But I'd take this community over Ebay 8 days a week, even if stuff seldomly sells.

From what I know ebay can make you to take the return even if No Returns is your policy; probably what the buyer is going to do is switch out a scratched disc of theirs. Either that or maybe they burned the game, or have buyer's remorse. Here's a quote from the Ebay Buyer Protection Policy:
"If you received an item that wasn’t as described, we’ll typically help you return it to the seller first and then refund you."

The seller opened an unpaid case against me lol.
I'm not risking my money to just hit him with a neutral/negative. I'll pay a few dollars more if I have to for a case from CGA/VGA.
