Pokemon Madness Find!!

Hey guys, so I picked up this lot last night for $220. It was a pretty exciting feeling considering how many guides came with the games I didn't know about. I've never played a single handheld Pokemon game past Crystal, so I'm swimming right now in potential playthroughs if I have 400+ hours to burn. I'm not sure if I want to hole up and sieze all communication with the outside world and go on a Pokemon binge or just sell everything and make a quick buck. Just wanna get a better idea on what everything is worth first. So if someone with more knowledge than me can chime in it'd be greatly appreciated! I found the lot off CList and ironically only searched Pokemon to try and track down a single copy of Emerald to play. The guy initially listed everything for $120 but I think the explosion of interest that followed probably made him realize quick this shit is worth much more. HeartGold and SoulSilver are both 100% complete and all the other DS games are CIB as well. Thanks!!

  • You got a good deal. I just sold heart gold and platinum cheap for 70 on ebay without the poke thingy. I think you got a fair deal
  • Most Pokemon handheld games are worth about $20 each. The guides are probably about $5 each. For resale purposes, I would list the Pokewalkers seperately.
  • If you're a pokemon fan keep it, won't get that deal again. But if you wish to part it out, from my experience on some of it, those GBA games are a safe $25-30 on ebay without much time lost doing it. The pokewalkers and the wifi adapters I've been able to sell between $10-15 before alone too. A good up-sell to help with the wifi parts is that there's a good dozen or so games that use it including a few of the NES Classics games. I believe the DS titles tend to roll slightly less to low-even with the GBA games so $20-25 on them complete, $5/ea on the guides unless I'm missing a notable, and I have no idea on the club nintendo item.

    ~45 in guides

    ~180-225 in DS titles

    ~125-150 in GBA titles

~40-60 in pokewalkers and wifi adapters

That's in ebay values as I've flipped most of those on there within the last year or two and they tend to stay fairly consistent once a new version of Pokemon pops up and out dates the last (Black/White 2.)
  • Its all in the eye of the beholder. Check this bundle I just sold yesterday to a pokemon fan for a good price but not low

Dont forget here in Canada stuff like this is hard to come by

  • The Pokemans are always fun to pick up.
  • Nice haul! Speaking of Pokémon stuff, you should all try the Mystery Dungeon games, they have some of the best stories I've ever seen in a video game.
  • First of all did you check the GBA cart for fakes?? those games are crawling with fakes
  • those games look real from quick glance so I do not believe he has fakes but yes always double check when buying that stuff for fakes
  • ^ Yeah the GBA games are legit. That was one of the first questions I asked dude. Cause it's crazy how many fake cartridges are out there nowadays, no one is safe! He assured me he bought them new from Target and upon close inspection his story pans out. Also thanks Tanooki. I'll probably keep the games and sell off the guides and accessories on eBay to make a little change back.

very nice find. After a quick add. before shipping and fees your are looking at around 500-550 in stuff if you were to sell them.

But finding them like that, Id probably keep them so youd have an instand complete pokemon collection.
  • ^ Yeah I have the hardcover guides listed together for $45. And the rest for around $10 each cause there's definitely some wear. But yeah I think I'm gonna keep all the games. Got a nice little Pokémon collection with not too much work exerted. Now I just need to find generation 1 and 2 and I'll be all set (no pun intended). The hunt is on!
