Wytze's Finds

Let's keep you guys updated about my findings. I buy and sell videogames, trying to make a profit which I use to buy some more. Sometimes I get very lucky, like all of us.

This topic was started as a "I bought Trip World for €2,- topic", but I decided to share some new stuff I picked up with you as well in this topic. Maybe you guys would like it.

Dude. You must be shitting me. You are the guy I have been sending a message on Youtube a while ago about some press release N-Gage games.

Never got an answer man :-P

About Trip World: I'm afraid I'm serious... I was not even aware of it when I bought it. It was on a market, the woman had 5 CIB Gameboy games, the other 4 were Kirby's Dream Land 1 (PAL) and 2 (USA), Yoshi's Cookie and Mystic Quest. Had no idea about "the story of" Trip World, but in a "what the heck, I give her the 10 euro bill and help her out of her games" kind of lazy thought I decided to just take it along with the others.
  • Finding the rarest Game Boy box on a flea market like a baws

Well congrats on the find. If you want to sell it I guess you'd get 300
  • I have put it for sale on my website for

Definitely a good attention grabber. This is not like Earthbound or Chrono Trigger this is a TRUE rarity

  • €300 right here if you decide to sell....umm are you sure!? more like x3
  • Probably never see me spend that kind of cash to keep a game, if I want for collection, I'll try the wild.
  • First one to offer
  • For what it is worth, that photo has been around a while, are you sure you are not lying?
  • this would actually be something that I'd spend a considerable amount on but definitely not 1000
  • Maybe I'm wrong but if it pops up again, I'll inform. For now I retract but I have def seen a copy with exactly the same stickers as that one.
  • I took that photograph myself, you can find it on my website: http://gamesengoodies.nl/trip-world-gameboy-pal

I bought the game at 30th of april this year at the queensday fleemarket in Leeuwarden.

If you want to, I can take more pictures of the game of course. What would you like to see for a background?
  • ah makes more sense now, it has been up for a while I presume.
  • Yes, I put it for sale on "Dutch eBay" Marktplaats.nl (to grab some attention again) and my own website one or two days after I bought it on the fleemarket and I quickly got responses from all over the world and there were a lot in incoming visitors from a Dutch collectors website, so the picture might very well have been spread widely in "the scene".
  • This game had been overhyped quite frankly.. It's the first gameboy game on the euro market to muster any kind of attention. I wouldn't buy into it until the true rarity of this title fleshes over the next few years.. Hype is a hell of a thing
  • Love this game. Play it!! It's a great title. Also about rarity, I've had a dozen or so pass through my hands in the past 5 years. All were loose though. The box is where the real $ is at.
  • That is friggin awesome. I've considered buying Trip World, but have never really looked into it that deeply
  • This weekends additions:
  • Sucks it was not pal legend of dragoon, if you do not own beetle adventure racing, I advise keeping it as a fun side game time to time, it's a hoot..

Not familiar on those white PS1 discs, what are those? Also how much did this lot cost you?
  • I can't play Legend of Dragoon, just as I can't play those white discs as well: they are all debug codes. I hope to find the right buyer for them somewhere, even though there are probably not many collectors for it. They are rare, that is the good thing. Legend of Lagoon has a printed label with it, that's the only difference.

This lot in total did cost me about
  • Def a fair deal, nothing to write home about but a good find. You find this at a flea market?
  • Yes, there is a indoor flee market every 2 weeks near my hometown. It used to be nothing spectacular but lately there is a growing number of "personal" sellers who sell stuff they find on their attics. That is more interesting than what most "professional" secondhand stuff sellers offer for prices higher than what I could ask for it in my webshop.
  • I should show you what I bought today if you do not mind it coming in here, i'll upload it

    I'm in the nederlands myself
  • No problem man, show it I'm curious
  • Impressive! Very good find! Nice to collect and/or easy to sell
