I remember seeing a screenshot on a web site somewhere Pihichi010 had a screenshot posted of the SNES homebrew "Classic Kong" re-skinned with Christmas/snow graphics. Any word of this? That would make an awesome 16-bit Xmas release, although I know Brian said a 16-bit release wouldn't happen this year, I still would love some Classic Kong, both the original version or the Christmas/winter themed version.
So what did your neighbors say about the awesome NES light show? Do all the carts play music?
One contributed power strips, the other was just confused. The carts are all running but with no TV there's no audio.
Haha, I'm guessing a bunch of your neighbors were trying to figure out what NES stood for . Ah ok, I thought I saw a Tv in the photo and when I saw the video I didn't hear any music.
Just ordered 1x cart. I might order another for my brother, but tight on cash atm. This will be my first Homebrew NES cart . I'll probably play with it for a few minutes and put it away until Christmas. Now I need to find a Top Loader by then haha
Just ordered my first as well! I usually check out RetroZone like twice a week and I am glad I checked today!
Same, hit a few different sites as soon as I get to work (my morning ritual). I was pleasantly surprised to see something new where Battle Kid 2 used to be on the menu!

That is what I do when I get into the office. I usually login into NA in the morning and stay logged in for most of the day.

I try to stay on, but sometimes work gets in the way, lol
I first found this site around the time 8 bit xmas 2012 came out. At the time, I was really struggling financially and couldn't justify the purchae. And, although it was the right decision to pass on the game then, I still have regretted not purchasing it.
I will not be denied this year. I won't even be breaking the bank by doing it. Merry Christmas 2013 to all of you NAers out there!!
Wasn't there a screenshot floating around for a Christmas themed Classic Kong reskin? That would have been perfect.
I haven't seen that one. I'd probably pick it up though, if it exists. I really wish NCC 1991 was in stock. That's the last 1 I need.
I remember seeing a screenshot on Pichichi's blog a couple weeks ago, but he has either removed it or I finding it eludes me. It was the barrel stage of classic kong with snow on the girders. Pichichi's got his own business though, so if he gets support of the Classic Kong author, it probably won't go through retroUSB.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that while i'm not a completionist, some people are, and those members are gonna be upset that there's a gap in their collection where 16-bit Xmas 2013 ought to be. I bought the 16-bit 2012 edition and wasn't too happy with the buggy audio. It was basically a port of one of the previous 8-bit NES games. Honestly 2013 is the best I have seen in terms of game play. If fact it's so good I can see myself pulling it out to game on year round. Pity the LED lights are wasted on my "toaster," although I do have an AV Famicom with a front-facing cartridge adapter! The previous four player editions were nice, but really how many people are gonna have three buddies over to sit around on Christmas day and play an NES game? Since my fiance is essentially a non-gamer and my mom would rather just watch, I only have one friend who ever comes over to play NES with me and I rarely get to see him due to his work schedual.

Until we get a dedicated SNES programmer who wants to make one every year, it will be an inconsistent release.
