Early Sega CD Box Protectors

I'm looking for box protectors for early Sega CD cardboard boxes. These boxes are nearly the same dimensions as plastic Sega CD/Satrurn boxes, but are a bit wider and shallower in depth. I don't own any protectors for the Sega CD/Saturn so haven't tried using them. Any advice?

  • These work fine.

I use them on the cardboard box games.

Ie. Monkey Island, any of the 32X sega CD Games.

  • Do they work well? It seems like the box dimensions are slightly different. Is there a significant gap in the front/back?

  • this pic shows the gap between the front and back.  i like a little space myself, so i think they work quite well.

I am not sure what other options are out there.  Here is some pictures of how they look on my shelf.  If you go with these, you will just have 1 size to worry about that you use for PS1 Long Box, Sega CD, Sega CD/32X, Saturn.

All 4 of them are in the same plastic cases, Corpse Killer, Afterburner 3, Monkey Island, and Kids on Site.

  • Thanks for posting these pictures. It is very much appreciated. Ideally I'd like to find something that fits the boxes better, but this looks like this is my best option. There would be very low demand for such a box, so I understand why nobody wants to make them.

They fit the regular Sega CD boxes a bit more snugly than the others. They do not fit the Digital Pictures cardboard boxes. Because of that though, they fit the thinner cardboard boxes a bit better - there's still room in there of course, but not quite as much.
