Who else likes rpg games?

I've been visiting nintendoage for quite a while but never did take the time to register till recently. There are a lot of websites out there about videogames but i think nintendoage is the cream of the crop.



You seem to have everything here. Its like the voltron of websites coming together (gamefaqs + amazon + etc) because you can buy or sell/exchange information/tell stories aka nostalgia/make friends who have the same interests as you do.



Glad to be here and i'll definately be posting in the forums more often. I like all things game related but i kinda have a spot for nintendo due to the amount of rpg's they had over the years. My friends call me Limit.

    Yep, RPG's are good. Tend to be geared towards the more intellectual crowd.

    I have a lot/hate relationship with them. Played a ton of them and nowadays I have kids and don't have as much time for them as I wish I did. Recently picked up the SNES Dragon Quest repros and had a great time finishing I + II though, but I play more shmups than anything else these days because I can get in and get a great & satisfying experience in under an hour and then be done.

    It saddens me that the world is starting to forget that Rpg's can be turn based. I fear Lost Odyssey will be the last console one.

    Welcome to NA! RPGs were a luxury in my youth (time wise) but nowadays there's just no way I can justify the expense. And yes, NintendoAge is the Voltron of websites. Well said (I get to be the Black Lion).

    Welcome to NA! I love rpg games too! Turn based are still my favorite type and then strategy turn based second.

    Favorite New Rpg: Ni No Kuni (ps3)

    Favorite strategy rpg series: Fire Emblem

    I hear yah man. Just had me a new baby and now I have very limited time for gaming. Love rpgs, but its hard to get into them playing in 20min-1hr intervals.been resortin to beat em ups instead of shmups tjough

    Thats the bad part about picking rpg's i've realized. As amazing as they are,pretty much every rpg you play will take you days/weeks to finish especially if you are a completionist like i am where i gotta collect every single thing in the game. I told myself long ago i want to play every rpg on every system and time is the only thing against me.
