I dunno if $85 is far off at all. I had two and sold one for $70 outside ebay to someone. Honestly, $85 is about what I would say they are worth. Very rare peripheral that actually serves a solid purpose. If it was a game, it would be worth at least double (a game that was both rare AND good).
I sold mine that i had in my auction up and some guy was ragging me about it (I think I told him to come here when I sold it to him, think he signed up as well). It was a double (both of mine are loose) and I finally just sold it. I have not seen any on ebay listed correctly go below $50 for some time now. This is one of those items I really think is a lot lower than it should be. Very cool item. Simple, but still cool.
It isn't really a true "manual" its just like a 2 page thing on the game genie. I have one of them somewhere. Actually totally forgot I even had it until I looked at the auction. Was in with my extra game manuals.
I just bought mine off of Dangevin for $75...I think thats a VERY good price..If someone doesn't think so, try looking for one...I searched HARD for a solid year and his was the FIRST I found..I had Want it Now's on eBay, Asked every collector I knew in the area, searched eBay every day religiously....nothing....It is one of my holy grails of nes collecting
