I'm back collecting
I said a few months ago I was done. It was nice having a break but I loved collecting and looking forward to playing new games. I'm doing it on a budget, now. I'll stick with the Genesis. I usually buy cart only because of costs, storage space and for me I want the game first so I only get boxes and manuals if the price isn't too bad. I was thinking of doing a complete N64 collection on the side because I loved the system growing up but I realized a lot for it weren't that good and I own pretty much all of the must haves. My friend is selling me his N64 with a few boxed games and luckily it has some of the few N64 games I want which I don't own such as F-Zero X.
Anyway, in my hiatus I did get some store display Genesis posters and one was for Sega Club and the box art for Ecco Jr on the poster is different from the final box so I'll get a photo of that soon for you guys.

Yeah the lure of collecting is pretty strong once you've tasted it. I would just buy an Everdrive type cart for every system that has one available as you'd have more games than you could poke a stick at. Though I went the MAME cab route once I decided to give up collecting. I found it too difficult to restrict myself so I had to give up altogether, hopefully you'll do better.
I remember your killer collection back on YouTube and your awesome beard. That's how I actually found Segaage. I want to collect still but I feel like I needed the hiatus to remember why I liked collecting in the first place. Most of the PS1, NES, SNES and retro PC games I want are avaliable through services such as Steam, Playstation Network and the Nintendo e Shop for Wii U so I can still get my games for other platforms but I still want to collect carts and the Genesis is my favorite to collect for and the prices aren't insane for the most part. Sometimes the SNES version of a game cart only is up to 3 times more than the Sega version complete in box.

Yeah I am very glad the Nintendo stuff is way more popular as it makes us SEGA nuts able to collect easier and it's kind of like a more exclusive little club.

What is this moderation you speak of?

Well, I could be wrong but, I belive moderation was an old wooden ship used during the Civil War era.

Moderation is the process of eliminating or lessening extremes. For example, I am unable to maintain an erection and sexually satisfy my wife so I use to cut myself a lot. Now I only cut myself a little to take away the mental anguish, moderation!
