New to the board

hey guys, figured i'd introduce myself. I'm a Nintendo fan, but i love all old systems. I recently relocated and sold my collection off to cover some expenses. However i've since picked the hobby back up and am close to reaching 1 year back in the game. My collecting re-booted on March 29th, 2013. I started with nothing and i'll give you a quick run-down of what i've got and where i am now.

March 39th, 2012. The first item i picked up when the habit re-formed. CIB GameBoy Deluxe. found on craigslist and traded for an xbox 360 controller.

April 8th, 2012. Some more things added, this is when i decided to keep going with it. Everything pictured was found at local thrift stores.

June 23rd, 2012. A great garage sale find with the atari, turbografx 16, and 23 2600 games. i've also added plenty of games with all of the NES games found at pawn shops or garage sales. Most of the loose genesis games are sports titles i find here and there. (eventually sold)

October 10th, 2012. you can see a lot has picked up. moved to 2 shelves for organizing needs but neither is quite full.

January 18th, 2013. Here is a recent picture. As you can see a lot happened in those 3 months. i am not out of room on all 3 shelves, and am in the process of having custom shelving built for me. I'm closing in on 1 year collecting and don't plan to stop anytime soon.

quick rundown of my last game count

NES: 264 Loose, 1 CIB(megaman 2 found at thrift store)

SNES: 72 Loose, 20 CIB

N64: 12 Loose

Genesis: 23 CIB

Master System: 13 CIB

Atari 2600: 54 Loose

PS1: 18 Complete(mostly rpg's)

other small collections are all the halo game releases in first run(non greatest hits) and a few collector's items

Every Metal Gear Game released in North America, yes every. 19 total O_O

I also have Game Genie/Sharks for NES, SNES, Gen, PS1, N64, GB, and GBC

thanks for checking it out and i hope to buy, sell or trade with many of you since i'm sitting on roughly 40 doubles right now. Cheers!

  • Thanks guys. It's easily 20x more than my old collection. only thing i sold that i'm trying to get back is the SNES mini and virtual boy, but those are things that can wait. i'm taking a small break from collecting to get the shelves built and get the display looking proper.
  • nice collection
  • Thanks buddy. I see you've got a pretty healthy 64 haul. unfortunately that's my least favorite Nintendo Console, so outside of the zelda's, i have no knowledge of it.

made me smile twice today! booya lol. Also thats a lot of games you collected in a year
  • thank you Dilts, much appreciated. I'd like to get a complete NES set eventually, but i honestly don't care about getting any games that are $500+ unless they're found in the wild. But the current goal is completing the black box's.
