Currently I'm reading book 2 of the Sin War trilogy, very cool so far!

Yea I like the way Richard Knacck wrote the Sin War trilogy so they all tie together.  I still think my favorite book is the first one, Legacy of Blood, nothing beats being walked around by the Warlord of Blood's armor, such a great story.
  • true, I must say my favorite is the kingdom of shadow. That talking skull is hilarious, and also written by richard A. Knaak. He's a great writer.

To come back on my two cats one last time, I compiled a small movie and uploaded it on Youtube.

For the ones interested in watching it, here's the link
  • Haha yea Zal and Humbart, they are in the Moon of the Spider too if I remember correctly.
  • I also love the diablo series and can't wait for 3! I definately want to check out the books as well.

  • is that vanilla ice up there? image cute girlfriend though!
  • lol a hot cocked to the side makes me Vanilla Ice? Meh... I probably get paid a lot more than he does nowadays image
  • I think it was the overall facial expression, as well. Definitely hints at "Vanilla Ice Returns".

Don't sweat it...we all thought he was cool in TMNT 2.
  • I still enjoy some Vanilla Ice image I have seen him live in concert twice in fact...pure comedy gold when he is asking for woment to flash him and NONE of them will LOL.

  • the hat, the facial expression, the ecko shirt, the cocky attitude... shit, this IS ice ice baby! someone needs to go get mc hammer and invite him here too so we can have a party!
  • Since you insist to mention me, here's another picture you can enjoy:

  • Nice Chick. Is there any reason for the "ref style" shirts?
  • ^ - Halloween party image During the Spring and Fall, I actually work as a Youth Flag Football referee for ages 6-15. $20 a game, 5-6 games a Saturday so it works out good. So I already had a costume and didn't have to buy anything!

Celebrating my son's 2nd birthday (was the 15th!), and working my balls off. What 'bout you? image
  • I've been alright. Laid off, so I'm here all the time! lol. Just constantly looking for a job.
  • working my balls off.

ouch i try not doing that lol
  • ok so Im going through the photos on my phone (I love taking photos with the thing) and found a hilarious happy snap I wanted to share.

But it requires a little explanation....

I am a nurse that works full time at a psych hospital in my city and my job involves working a rotating roster of shifts. Including the dreaded night shifts that go from 1100pm through to 0730am (big fun!) and the roster works out to about every 6 weeks I have to do a couple of weeks of night shifts. A couple of weeks is just enough time for my body clock to fully adjust to being awake all night and sleeping well during the day. Now after night shifts we are expected to come back onto day shift (day shifts start at 0700 and end at about 4pm or so) but the real kick in the nuts comes when you take into account that inbetween my last night shift and my first return to the world of the living day shift I have 2 "days" off.....which means I finish the last night shift Monday morning at 0730 and have that day off, Tuesday off and have to front up Wednesday morning all fucked up and silly from changing my sleep around...

Sadly I have been doing this for years now. Now I have developed a technique for changing my sleep patterns around in this short time. I used to go home and sleep during the day a bit but it's really hard to sleep that night cos yr body clock is waking you up so I have figured the best thing to do is stay up all that day and go to bed at night when yr so buggered you cant help but sleep. This is just as painful as it sounds.

So after work I pound the caffiene and spend the day watching movies (zombie and horror films are the genres of choice) or doing something sedate. Anything invloving actual thinking or physical labour like gardening or working with tools is out and have banned myself from driving a car after about midday as I'm just out of my head tired by then and it's too dangerous.

Usually by about 4pm Ive had a few beers and by 8pm at night (if Ive not passed out and been dragged to bed by my long suffering and wonderful wife) it's a full party with me dancing about, talking total garbage and breaking things by knocking them over....then slllleeeeepppppppppp

My friends all know this as "THE NIGHT SHIFT TURN AROUND" and depending on what they want from me either avoid me for a few days (if they want a sensible conversation) or if they want a laugh and to hear me swear and carry on like a pork chop they ring me up for a chat....my cats usually can sense my weakening grip on reality during the turn around and make themselves scarce.

It's a very healthy way to live. Not really.

So anyway this photo was taken on the turn around at about 11pm on the first night. By this stage I'd had about 12 beers, seen 4 zombie movies, begun watching the Planet of the Apes films in order (again) and had been dancing, ringing my friends and talking loudly and obnoxiously to anyone who came in the room. I had been up for about 26 hours.

Then my cat Gigi walks in to see what all the fuss is and I seize my opportunity for cat cuddles!

    Doesn't she look thrilled!

    Don't I look drunk!

I had this up on facebook for a bit and told a friend of mine Gigi was a skunk I had found that I was nursing back to health.

  • That's awesome, dude. I like your style.
  • That's a great story. Once I stayed up for about 38 hours and everything was just bizarre.

    Good times.
