Other forums... what are they like?

So having had some great experiences here, I am wondering how active people are on other forums?  I know a few people here are very well known over at DP, but personally that board has always been too big for me, at least socially, hence only having 11 posts over there despite being a member for over 6 years.  How is it for buying/trading NES stuff?  Have most people into only Nintendo migrated here?

Also curious about general experiences at assemblergames, NESWorld, FamicomWorld, or AtariAge, or any other video game forum I'm overlooking.  Non-video-game forum experiences are welcome, but not what I personally am interested in finding out about at this juncture.

I should also note, this isn't meant to be a forum bashing session here, nor a superiority thread.  If you don't like a specific place or a had a bad experience in some way, please give clear, rational reasons why.  I wouldn't want mods to have to lock this up because people get nasty (especially since some of our members are mods on a few of those other sites).

  • I'm a member on NESworld and NESForums, but just don't have time to spend at all 3.  I spend 99%of my time here, and only go to those other 2 occasionally, like if this site goes down.  Don't get me wrong, those other 2 are good sites, just not enough time in the dayand since NA is more active, I spend my time here.
  • I am an admin on NESforums, and I was an admin on NESworld as well. I visit both everyday, but spend most my time here. I also visit Famicomworld, DP, RFGen, and a few random other forums from time to time as well.

  • I spend a lot of time on honda-tech.com which is one of the biggest car forums there is. I don't even go there for the car aspect anymore, I just go to the forum titled "General Discussion and Debate". It's my news source, my off-the-wall obscure fact source and just a good place to find random stuff.
  • I visit DP but don't post much.. I just recently joined Roth's PlaytheNES site.

  • On rare occasion I'll go over to NESDev and see what's brewing. I started out at AtariAge, but haven't logged in there since NintendoAge took off, since it was what I was trying to find in the first place.
  • I pretty much just vist here and post. I go to bodybuilding.com and a few other strongman sites just to read. This site to day is the best everyone is treated and treats everyone good. What ive found at some of the other video games sites is you have a small group that pretty much sticks together and dont really make anyone else feel very welcome. this site if your one of the first members or the newest everyone is part of the group, cant say that about very many others.
  • I do more for those free forum boards than anything else. If you've ever owned an ipbfree board, you probably have seen me around. I run the official resource board there (iPBFree Source). I used to be big at the invisionfree site, but they're dead to me now image

I own another board as well, a vB one.
  • I'm a member at Famicom World, NES World, NES forums, Nesdb.se, playthenes.com, and probably others. Although, NA is really the only site I actively view from day to day. O yeah, I'm also a member of the hellbound web Hellraiser forum image, trying to get some good ideas for my game there. They have a great database of all things Hellrasier for any you horror movie fans out there.

  • im on.....DP,NESFORUM, NEO-GEO, and of course this one.....
  • I love the DVDTalk forums....lots of fun over there.
  • Much of my online time is spent here... I am, however, an admin at TradeGamesNow.com (in fact, I run many of their contests and such). I also visit DP, and occasionally GameTZ and Famicom World...
  • I used to be part of a fps coding community, but their forums died a sudden overnight death many years ago. Mostly due to the remaining mods vanishing, and spambots taking over. Ever since then I've hung out at www.playthenes.com, and occasionally hit up NA when I get a chance.
