Did someone already sell this at a loss or is someone selling it at a loss now?
Someone bought this copy in November for $1,199.99 from an ebay seller in New York. Positive feedback was left.
There's been a recent influx of manuals. At this price point, influx only means 3 or 4. I think some of it is turnover, and some of it is the attention games have gotten because of the NWC. At the same time, I think there's an N64 collecting lull, because the most recent wave has been finishing up their n64 collections.
This might be a good time to get back on the Clay Fighter paper train. I'm unsure if the carts will go up or down soon.

it was purchased from a local collector and then resold to the store. the local collector is the one who bought it originally from New York.

Good luck to them on the sale. I'm surprised how low the ebay asking price is. I'm considering buying it to keep the manual, and sell the box/cart. Before my post did they realize that same copy was bought for more in November?
I apologize if I brought to light any info that might make the person they acquired it from uncomfortable. I can only imagine this being buyer's remorse or some nice trading was worked out to make everyone happy. The more I think about it, I'm going to assume the transaction was heavily trade based. Maybe?
I'm guessing the buyer purchased in Novemember and went "oh shit! I forgot about Christmas shopping" and sold it to the store. This happens ALL the time. I used to buy on CL and I had one lady buy a snes and ~40 games for above retail at a local store and sold them to me cuz she needed the money for less than 1/4 of what she paid (she grossly overpaid for everything and I told her I was reselling but she just needed the money). Less than 6 months later, she called me again and did the same exact thing. I felt bad for her. But I mean damn, how dumb can someone be?
I think this is something the seller needs to sit on. Once the real N64 guys get there sets going a few more will come into the game needing this to finish it off. Too many manuals posted in the last year to make this one worth the price tag considering condition. Once there's a nice drought he should post again and see how it goes.

I'd like to have just the cart.
Doesn't matter on condition.
This has been the white whale of my N64 search.
Seen it rarely pop up on Craigslist, but disappears into the 'sea' just as quickly.
Good luck!
Hope it goes to a good home.
