I've noticed that the overall style of the site has changed slightly, eliminating a lot of the images we use for "widgets" (the gradient backgrounds to headers withing pages or blocks of text).
That flashing thing is a loading tool used by jQuery -- when you see it, it's checking to see if you have new messages. I'll try and make it less obnoxious.
I think this is just a problem because it doesn't stay at the top of the page screen, it just floats over whatever area happens to be under the absolute screen coordinates it check at. At least in Firefox it does.

There is something wrong with the layout in google Chrome. Looks great in FF though. Nice work !
Can you be more specific? I use Chrome a lot, and I don't see anything wrong on mine.
I'll check it out... I think I have the "Mark All Read" fixed though.
Working for me now... Only have to click mark all read once, instead of twice like earlier..
