Hi, name's Dewgyver
Well, let's see here. Been playing video games for pretty much most of my life.
From the arcades of the very early 80s, to 3-day weekend NES game rentals.
Playing SNES games at friends houses, to finally buying my first console (N64).
Which lead to other consoles and games and so much more.
Then, got bored one summer around 2003. Just for giggles, I picked up the local paper, drove around and looked at yard sales.
Little did I know how much fun they would be and also all of the video games I would find. (Mainly N64 at the time, but hey, it was a blast.)
Eventually, I moved up to flea markets and thrift stores. Got out of the loop for a while to take care of my family.
Got back in the loop around 2010/2011 going to yard sales for fun and to find stuff for the family at great prices.
Wasn't really serious about collecting video games at all. I think it got more serious around 2012.
Between 2011/2012, I started to see video games pop up more frequently at thrift stores and yard sales.
Thought it was a pretty cool thing to collect. In my mind, it was something you could collect and play with.
If I had an extra copy of something, I would just give it to a friend or trade it on craigslist.
That was going pretty good for a while there. Met other people who also enjoyed video games or other hobies.
Well, it was decent on craigslist until now.
People who say they'll meet up, but then never show up.
In my tired tales of craigslist, a friend highly recommended Nintendoage.
And so, here I am.
