Format Help

So, I have a VHS tape that a preson in Austraila sent to me and my wife.  Only problem is that it won't play on a "normal" VCR.  It is in whatever format that they use down under.  Is there a way to get this to play on my VCR or how do I go about viewing it?  Clipping the lockout chip on an NES is pretty simple, can you do this on a VCR?

    you need a PAL vcr, or find somewhere that can transfer them from PAL to NTSC

    I think you would need to buy a vcr that is made for american televisions, but can playback PAL VHS. I installed one at a German guys house once.. it was actaully a double VCR, had one american slot, and one european slot.. OK pedro im sure you can work pretty well off of that. You would probly have to order these from a specialty shop. I doubt their all too common, especially in this day and age.

    I don't believe that it is possible to modify an NTSC VCR to play PAL vhs tapes. you might be best to send it back to austrailia and get someone to convert it to a dvd and send it back to you. if its a dvd it is alot easier to work with
