Question about an item I sold

I sold an Import system on ebay back in late Nov. The guy said he sent the money order but I never received it. It's now been 3 1/2 weeks since he mailed the payment off. Should I go ahead and relist the item or wait for payment?

  • Unpaying MO bidders I'll usually start bugging after 2 weeks with no payment. I'll start with a payment reminder email, and an internal eBay message. I'll do this everyday until I get a reply, or until another week goes by, at which point I'll just file the unpaid item claim and relist immediately. If they pay, I can yank the auction, but after that point, if they're not replying it's pretty much done.
  • Well we been in touch until last week. So I guess just file the claim and go from there? Thanks
  • what kind of money order was it? postal? bank? western union??
  • All he told me was it was from 7 eleven.
  • "7 eleven"? I don't even understand what is it... Where's the guy from?
  • 7 eleven is a gas station/convenient store. Some gas stations/convenient stores around here do money orders. He's from Texas and I live in Louisiana.
  • 7-11 is a convenience store in parts of the US...
  • ohh i see. Well if it was a local MO i guess it must be there already. I am not familiar with local MO usa procedures though... There must be a reciept at least.
  • He says he has a receipt and has not shown it to me. I would normally get mail in 3 to 5 days at the latest. Yet 3 1/2 weeks later nothing still. All my info. is correct and up to date, so I don't understand what's taking soooo long with it.
  • Honestly, if you absolutely had to pay with a Money Order, why would you buy anything but a Postal Money Order? You have to go to the post office anyway so you might as well just kill two birds with one stone, correct?
  • That's correct, but alot of times when I go the the post even just to mail something off, there's a line of at least 5 to 6 people that act like they never been to a post office before and only one cashier is open. So if getting a Money Order from some where's else will save some time I'd do it too. Since all you have to do is get the Money Order and then put a stamp on the envelope and put it in the box, which this guy probably did and now I'm forced to relist item. I had asked for a DC # but he didn't listen I guess.
