But wouldn't that throw eBay's current complete bidder anonymity / buyer protection policies under the bus?

eBay knows who these bastards are yet does nothing about it. Anyone with a "verified" account has info on file with eBay. At a bare minimum backing out of payment for won items should be made a criminal offense. Auction houses have successfully sued and won judgements against non-paying buyers in civil court; why can't eBay sellers have this protection? People would think twice about fake/shill bidding after being dragged to court by their mullets and made to spend their life savings on lawyer fees, etc... No excuses, no BS. "my two year old placed a bid without my knowledge," "a hacker planted those nekkid teen photos on my PC," "the dog ate my tax returns," Bull Sh!t. You knew what you were doing; now you face the consequences...
  • eBay doesn't write the law....

  • Remember this?
  • Pointless bump.
  • Just wondering if anyone heard the end of this story. I emailed him a couple of times to find out his experience - much like Muresan provided with his - and I never heard from him again after he joined NA with guns blazing. I think we can assume what happened but it would have been nice if he provided names of sellers, experience with Ebay, etc., to help the rest of us out and because I'm curious about the gold cart he has and what he plans to do with it. If anyone got any more info, please post.
  • Possibly just kicking a dead horse here, but a response would be nice...
  • What I want to know is why everyone is silent since it looks like a gold NWC (real one) sold for almost 30K on ebay with a real sale? lol
