I sell NES systems on craiglist when I have one or two extra. Sell it for $40 with Mario Bros 1, and most of the time I can sell SMB2 and SMB3 for like $25 with it.
wow Jim I never thought to sell crap on Craigslist around this time of year. I think I am going to try that now actually. I have like 5 more NES systems that I want to get rid of and tons of filler games. Thanks for ze pointer! ;-)
I've actually have had good luck selling year round. Usually, you wont get as much $$ as you would with ebay if your listing sells.
CL people are usually less picky so condition is less important and like Marton said, titles like Dragon Warrior, Tetris, Castlvaina 2, Megaman 3, and Metroid will pop a little more then on ebay.
You got to be a little cautious if you got people comming to your home but I got a handful of people that I've sold alot too and grown to trust that I sell to often.

Dude, I wish I had more extras. I probably could have dropped whatever I had. Also, I have been pretty much getting the going rate for them. The thing I notice is that people are less concerned with the bulk of the lot as long as there is a couple decent ones.
Craigslist is a godsend over here. I never realized it until I started really getting hardcore about selling/buying locally, but I have one of the juiciest areas to sell to. There is virtually no one else out here who touches the old systems anymore, and the local flea markets might actually help my sales since they have Super Mario 3's for 32$, Super Mario/Duck Hunts for 22$, Tetris 18$... etc. Not to mention almost all of the dealers are really unscrupulous, so returns on that bad condition non-working 32$ mario 3 isn't gunna happen. Buying is pretty good out here too, but not as good as selling is!

I think I averaged about $45-50 a system w/ multiple games each. Probably low end but eBay had dried up so I had a clearence sale.

I have sold a Tetris for $15 locally, people pay well for games they remember from their youth.

It's a little like dealing drugs.
