IR Newbie
Hello
I'm Rob from England, and I'm a NES fan. I'm not a collector (yet...), I'm happy just playing games, so my PowerPak does the job fine. Recently, I've become really interested in homebrew, so I've started coding for the NES. It's been really fun so far, hopefully I'll have something to show for it at the end.
Cheers,
Rob.

As a bit of background, I didn't own an NES until my early twenties - we had an Amstrad CPC464 as our home PC when I was younger, followed by the Batman pack Amiga 500 (it was mega bucks, so my dad bought a shop demo model). I first played on the NES at my friend Jamie's house, but he soon upgraded to a SNES, so I can only remember playing Dodge Ball, and being English and unfamiliar with the game, not knowing what the fuck was going on
I grew up in the 16 bit era, with a Megadrive (Genesis) and SNES, before getting involved with NES emulation. I ported/coded an NES emulator for a semi-unknown handheld called the GP2X, so gained a fair amount of 6502 knowledge that way. I love the 8 bit stuff, it just seems to represent a much simpler time... I'm sure life was shit then too, but at least their games weren't all crappy 3d FPS clones!
I'm rambling, thanks again for the welcome.
