Which should I get, a genesis or saturn?
I am debating getting either one. The genesis seems more cost friendly (actually I probably can't afford the saturn or even the genesis for that matter ), but give me your opinions. Also if anyone has an extra genesis system, pm me . Thanks!

The genesis, master system and DC are all so much cheaper to collect for primarily, and in the case of 2 of those systems, simply better than the Saturn in general unless you dabble heavily into Imports (which will cost you)

Sega Genesis is much cheaper to collect for, has many more games, and better games. It along with the snes are the golden age of 2d gaming for me, while the Saturn is a really fun system, it's also a very primitive 3D/rough edges kind of system that requires a pretty specific taste to enjoy.

I'd agree with most of this. Granted, it's a matter of opinion and some gamers have tastes that the Saturn can better satisfy. I think for these reasons, Genesis is the better choice for most people.

Skip both and buy a Dreamcast.
I would recommend this too if you don't already have one and enjoy arcade style games as the Dreamcast is the best SEGA console for arcade perfect games. That being said I would say go for a Genesis as there is a bigger variety of games a lot of which is very good and most importantly cheaper.

Saturn is amazing, but honestly, get it modded for CD-R's; most of the notable games are stupid-expensive and at least you can test them out & find out which ones are worth pursuing for you. the Working Designs collection & some others have cost me a small fortune.
You hit the nail on the head.
