New years resolutions for 2009

I dont know if its a "universal" habbit, but in Holland people have "best intentions" for the new year

examples are quitting with smoking, eating healthier food etc image

my best intention for 2009 is to stop buying so much expensive food at the university cafeteria.. i'm spending almost 100$ a month on just food in between classes and thats rediculous image

so what are your best intentions for 2009 which you really WANT to fullfill?

  • I would like to start spin classes, and train a little better this year for a more successful racing season. Maybe even sign up for the elite class instead of intermediate. I like to race downhill mountain bikes.

    HELL YEAH!!
  • To get a completed platformer and not be lazy for 2 months. Though I am doing some music for it as I write this.
  • My New Year's resolution is not to make any New Year's resolutions...

...Wait a sec...darn it image . Eh...all I really want to do in '09 is try to set up a bit of a future for myself and my fiancee (starting to look at houses, etc.), that and try to work ever closer to a full NES set.
  • Convert my loose games to boxed. eat healthy. live healthy. try to buy more organic
  • Stop smoking and be more active for me, not that I have big problems now, but will be better for the future.

A little bit less beer wouldn't do any harm too, but I need to keep some resolutions for the next year image.

Haha nice, my resolution is to finally stop.  I'm old enough (24) where I don't need to be doing it anymore, especially now that I'm at the stage of life where I'm going to buy my own house and settle down with the girlfriend.  Having said that, I'm doing a lot of it this week, lol.

I also am going to get my ass back in the gym 5 days a week as usual.  During this whole month of December I've slacked off badly, like 2 or 3 days a week at the gym and really short workouts.  Just enough to maintain but I'm not getting any stronger.  Back to 5 or 6 days a week an hour long sessions starting on Monday Jan 5th for me.

I need to make sure I'm ripped again at beach season image
  • My New Year's resolution is to play and beat every Zelda game that I have not beaten yet by the end of the year.

  • I'm going to go running and swimming more, and maybe... just maybe try and spend less on games. image
  • I was thinking about this today... I'm pretty happy with the way that everything in my life is going right now, and I don't have any problems that need "changing". The only thing I could think of is to spend less on video games.

I've already been doing this for about 6 months, anyways. But earlier in the year I was going pretty crazy. Figure I should start going a little slower to keep saving money for a house.
  • I haven't decided on anything yet....but I'd love to knock my 8k of school loans completely out if possible. image
  • I like how everyone seems to need to lose weight, I think its funny that im trying to gain like 30 to 40 pounds for the next year

    does this include cdi games?
  • I like the smoking more weed resolution.  I haven't smoked weed in about 6 months, but I'd love to try to smoke more, maybe once a day if possible.  Also, I've seem to cut back on cigarettes, unintentionally.  I'd like to get back up to a pack a day.
  • Jared, you are so backwards my friend.. Start slowly if you want to pick the habit back up, once you build up a tolerance the buzz doesn't last as long.
  • ^I say smoke as much as you can especially if it's free.If you do build a tolerance you'll have to find better weed=)

    Do you wrestle or box?

  • Or some sort of power/weightlifter?
  • My other New year resolution is to get laid as much as possible. But I suppose that's really more of a life's ambition.
