so my wife and i bought rock band for the wii at 12:00 midnight the day before it was released (sometime in May).


me being a collector, i kept the box, paper work and original packaging. so last night we decided to box it up and take it back to wal mart. we told them we got if for christmas and it wasn't the right game. at the time they weren't doing exchanging because of being too busy so they were just gving out gift cards.

they even opened the box and all and the lady made a comment saying "they boxed it up better then i could have"

then she gave us a 99.00 gift card.

I added two gifts cards given to me for christmas and bought GH world tour for the 360

we were shocked that they took it back

    Walmart will take anything back if you make a big enough stink about it. We bought a TV a few years back and it made this kinda high pitch noise when it was on (transformer issue maybe?) and then one day it just wouldn't power on. This was like 2 years+ after we bought it for about $300. My girl wasn't accepting this and called Walmart and kept demanding to speak to the higher up until she got the person in charge of the whole store. She was like "2 years is not an acceptable lifespan for a purchase like this." and "is this the kind of junk you are selling?". Without hesitation, they told us to bring it in. We then got full credit and put it towards a much nicer TV. I was pretty impressed at how she managed that one.

    O wow you guys are lucky. I bought an $80 dvd player. It broke 5 days after their return period, and they wouldnt take it back, I had the reciept, and the box with everything in it. I even had my friend who works there try to exchange it for another one and they just wouldnt do it.

    I bought an air compressor powered circular sander at Wal-mart about a year ago, the next day the rotating half shot apart from the handle and out of my brothers garage and down the hill. I took the pieces back and was explaining to the customer service lady what had happened, she actually cut me off and said, dude, just go get another one.

    Walmart will take about anything back, even if it wasn't bought there, lol. I have swapped all kinds of stuff there lol.

    Nope I cant play Expert on drums.I've done the career by having my girl play the bass pedal.On guitar though i'm pretty good.We should find a drummer and a singer and start a NA band.

    Wal Mart rules when it comes to exchanges. They have a very fair return policy. Hopefully everyone will be fair with Wal Mart or else they will make it a lot more difficult like Target. I tried to return a baby shirt off the $1 rack and exchange it for another size. Because it was a gift and I did not have the receipt, Target would only do it if I gave them my driver's license and home phone number. We got a couple of duplicate video games - we are taking them to Wal Mart so we don't get jerked around (and where we will buy more stuff while we are there).

    I had a discman long ago who wasn't working anymore because I dropped it like 50 times, I returned it at Wal-mart, without any of the accessories, and they gave me a brand new one. And it was like 10 months after I bought it, they have a very good exchange policy.

    you guys are lucky i guess, the walmarts in my area are hardcore. they will even check the numbers on the actual device or hardware, to make sure you didnt switch boxes with a newer one. I know 2 people that work at walmart, and they tried putting the word in for me.. the returns department was just like "no means no". My good friend that works there, even tried going to another walmart in his uniform and exchanging it for me, and it just wasnt happening.
