24 years old, less than 1 year and I only plan on seriously collecting for 2-3 years. Now I'll keep my collection forever (at least I intend to), but I'd like to think my collection will be almost complete then (all CIBs for NES, "popular" CIBs for SNES) and I won't need to spend much time on eBay. I guess I'd technically still be collecting if I'm trying to track down one or two last games, but that is no where near the amount of time I spend on collecting now.
24,i've been collecting looses carts since I was young but unfortunetly all of them had been sold off over the years by my parents.I just started collecting nes cib's seriously about 9 months ago and i'll probably never stop.If I do manage to complete a cib nes set then i'll start on snes.
I'm 23, I've been collecting since about 2 months before I turned 17. Kinda wish I'd started collecting NES back then (though the purchase that officially marked me starting a collection consisted of only 3 NES games, 2 of which I missed out on growing up)...and not necessarily because the games were cheaper 6-7 years ago: for the fun of it . I'll probably be tracking down video games, scouting flea markets, etc. until well into my 30s, should God give me the strength to live that long.
I'm 19 and I think I started collecting when I was 13 or 14 so I guess I've been collecting for 5 or 6 years now. I started off collecting for just about every game system. I've managed to become a little more specific so now I pretty much only collect stuff for Nintendo systems.
I am 14, yes, but only a few weeks until I'm 15. I have been collecting for about 1 and a half years now. First it was just anything SNES, and I wasn't really paying little amounts. Eventually I read things and learned a lot more so now I only pay very little, and eventually the collection grew. I soon got a few big collections, and it's become what it is now.
26, and i'm with NGD on this one, i've been collecting since me and my brother were helping out at a local video store, putting away movies and what not (back before child labor laws were enforced) sometime in the early 90's, used to get free games from the guy working there, thats how we ended up with quite a few of what he had back then
26, been collecting since I was old enough to drive (10 years that really flew by), though probably not with nearly the fervor of a majority of the dudes here.
Well I've still got my childhood NES and most of the original games...so about 20 years I know it's my original NES toaster since it's still got the glow-in-the-dark tape I put on the power button, so I could turn it on in the dark of course!
But actually "collecting" and participating in the community; about 2-3 years.
I'm 24 and have been collecting for about 4 years I think. Although I was grabbing games here and there for around 4 years, I really started getting serious over the last 2 years or so right around the time when I joined this site. I didn't even have an EBay account 2 years ago, so my collection looks much different than what it did when I first came here.
I remember the reason I joined was a CIB Chubby Cherub sold for close to $200 on EBay and I couldn't understand why it was so expensive when the cart could be had for like $4. I found the rarity guide here and that was when I was first introduced to common games with rare boxes. My whole vision of collecting has been changed dramatically by the wealth of information I have absorbed here since.

I don't actually collect video games, I just buy whatever I feel like playing.
