Christmas mania!
Thought I'd post a link my annual christmas light display. It's safe to say that by the time christmas is over, I can't stand the sight of christmas lights... let me know what you think.

that's bad ass
whoa, that's your place?
that's bad ass
Its actually my parents house, they have the perfect house for the lights and my pops loves to do the programming for the show. It takes an unbelievable amount of time to put the lights up though....
That's over the top! What's playing on the big screen? Is that part of the display?
Yeah its part of the display, for the charlie brown song, the big screen shows a few scenes from ' a charlie browns christmas' for the other song, a few scenes from the dvd 'christmas eve sarajevo', it looks quite good in person, but a little hard to see in the video.
Dude if I did that the cops would show up so fast. How long did that take to do,and are those lights set to just that song or do you have multiple programmings?
The lights take a few weeks to put up, the hard part isn't the lights though, its stringing 96 channels together efficiently... takes a 'hell uv a lot' of extenstion cords and planning. The programming is different for each song, we showed 3 different songs. My dad does the programming he guesses that its about 10-12 hours of programming for each minute of song.
Seriously though, nice job. I'm personally more of a fan of subtle lighting, but I can appreciate the artistry of Christmas lighting.
very impressive... I would love to see something like this in person! Was this a big draw in the area? I'd imagine a ton of people would want to come see this. Did you have the songs repeating non stop or did you play them only on request?
we live on a dead end street... can def cause some traffic! Every night we get a good amount of cars coming by to watch. The show just cycles through the three songs, we didnt do requests. We used an FM transmitter to broadcast the music though,, we didn't blast music for our nieghbors 5 hrs a You had to tune you radio to 107.7 to hear the music.
