Unreleased NES proto won at open auction...
This showed up yesterday:

And here is the listing: http://m.ebay.com/itm/191097736371
Yup, Mike Ditka proto, clear as day, full week auction. I had a huge snipe, but was amazed no one else bid this one up. But it just goes to show that deals can still be found!

I'm betting "Rare Nes Game"

Wow. How did you find this? What search did you put in?
Yeah I'm not sure about clear as day, no proto, promo, prototype, etc. listing in the title or description. Clear from the photo but a casual search would have missed it.
Good find regardless, but that would explain the "cheap" end price.
I was watching the Nolan Ryan's Baseball SNES Proto they had and saw this, but it didn't jump out to me as anything special
I'm not a football fan but I am curious if it's a solid game or not against what else was out at the time as 1990 doesn't seem like a prime year to be canceling games yet.
....meh. Went to a better collector. Congrats.
This is kind of a strange one, since it kind of "has" been released by NGD although in edited form.
do you guys plan on dumping it?
Accolade, Pony Canyon, Natsume- possibly the NFL and Mike Ditka's holding companies.
I'm sure somewhere there is a sports proto collector just in tears.

We'll certainly be dumping and releasing this one for free within the next few months. I didn't know that an unaltered rom had yet to be leaked, but we'll take care of that soon.
We've got an insane about of reproductions in the works at the moment spanning multiple platforms (Genesis, SNES, NES, and Famicom), so we'll probably release this rom alongside one of our next sales to help drum up interest and spread the wealth. Along with these paid releases, we have another 4-5 roms that will be released completely free from the get go just like Ditka.
We've got a really exciting year ahead of us.
