Been awhile Since

It's been Quite a while since I've found a decent Retro Console at the local goodwill for a decent price... I still find some misc stuff here and there.. But I think the great retro deals in my area are just about gone.... now everytime I find a console in there it just seems to have a random price.. & usually not in my favor.. Sorry but not paying almost 30$ for a original Psx with one controller (not even name brand or with joysticks one) have found some great snags in the past though.. got a Intellivison game holder with like 20 games with there manuals & keypad Inlays for 5$, then asked the lady at the counter if she knew if they would happen to have the console in the back & got it for 2$ lol. Another time I got like 15 Sega Master System Games complete for 1$ each.. found Mega Man 1 with a small tear on the label $1.99.. But I think alot of them days are over.. It doesn't stop me from still checking a few times a week.. Just hoping for that special buy.

  • I feel the same way. I swear I wast more time hunting for deals but there not like they used to be. Even yard sales in the vegas area seem to be hard to get great deals. The last one that I was at had a boxed Colecovision. I was so happy I grabbed it and handed it to the lady and asked how much she wanted. She said 200 bucks. I shook my head and asked why she said cause she saw them on ebay for that price. I was so upset I just let didn't even bother to argue with her. I keep wasting my gas every weekend looking for game deals. I'm also wondering why I keep going because it's been a while since I got a deal.
  • I think the reason you still go is the reason I do as well.. it's about that momment, when you do find that great bargain. I usually don't leave empty handed when I do go to good will or Flea Markets.. If it's not Video games.. I usually at least find a good deal on other things as well which kinda helps

Your lucky I haven't left Goodwill with anything in years.

  • I think it's all about my location really on finding decent stuff.. I live in the middle of no where really.. Not a whole lot of old school gamers to be found around here.. For the last 7 years I figured I was about the only person in the area that collected.. I have noticed a increase thou of people in local facebook online yardsales etc looking for old games & Systems, most of them are resellers buying any Nintendo Icon game that pops up Mario /Zelda/ Pokemon/ Kirby Etc.. People are slowly starting to ebay anything decent they have & using there phones to scan to find the values.. which sucks..  seen some dude trying to sell Flintstones: Rescue on there & Chessmaster for 40$ each then someone replied with 12$ game and he responded with... I could easily sell on ebay for 40$... funny funny
