I can't say never to both, since I did get a spiked drink twice. One was a vodka fresca, the other... watch your lunch kids, a tobacco spit Mountain Dew.
I've hardly ever drank in my entire life. I had one glass of rum and coke on New Years Eve this past year (all my friends made me), and before that, the last time I drank was 4-5 years ago. I've probably only drank 3-5 times in my entire life, and each time it wasn't anything significant. Never been drunk - never been hungover.
I've also never taken a single drag of a cigarette. I'm sure that I never will for the rest of my life, as well.
Drank a bit in college, didn't drink hardly the last 3 1/2 yrs, broke up with fiance, drank a lot Aug-Oct last year like $200 bar tabs at least once a weekend. Had lots of fun though. Back to a few times a month now, socially. Cigars occasionally, cigs are gross. I'm good with what I do now.
I drink from time to time. Never first hand smoked a cig EVER... but as Jerry Seinfeld says I used to second hand smoke about 2 packs a day when smoking was allowed in the poker room I play at. Thank God it's outlawed now!
I am a social drinker. I rarely even do that though. If we have beer in the house, it sits here until someone comes over to drink it, or I give it to the neighbors, lol.
I'm really trying to quit smoking. In the last few months I've had 3 nights of weakness. All three were while drinking.
I don't drink that much anymore, don't feel like spending money on it and don't enjoy getting tanked. Never smoked, my dad does and that's reason #1 why I wouldn't want to or start.

I hear you. Having lived in GA where smoking in establishments has been outlawed for quite some time, it was a big adjustment coming to VA, where some fast food restaurants have disposable ash trays next to the napkins and straws.
I'm a smoker and it cracks/ annoys me to no end people walk up and say things like, "You know.. smoking is bad for you." or, "You smoke, thats gross." Keep in mind these people are strangers. I suppose I can thank the media for making smokers look like criminals. yes I realize its bad for me, but it doesn't effect you in any way, shape or form so STFU. //end rant
I used to drink, but quit (completely -- haven't drank in years), I used to smoke, but quit (6-7 months ago). I do keep a stash of cigars for special/fun occasions, but I really only touch those once of month, likely less.
I used to be an alcoholic, but now only drink maybe 2-3 times a month now. I smoke about 3/4 of a pack of cigs a day, although I owuld like to get that back up to a full pack. Not only does it suck, but it's against the law to ban smoking in private businesses like restaurants and bars. If own a bar and want to allow smoking, thats my choice. If it alienates non-smokersm thats my loss. Why should I be forced to conform to the wishes of one segment of the population(non-smokers).
And don't even get started with the whole employees have rights too. They aren't forced to work there, find employment in a non-smoking place.
DOn't get me wrong, I don't think smoking should be allwed everywhere, I just think it should be each business owners choice. What are they gonna do next, force bars to stop serving fried food, because obesity and heart disease kill WAYYYYYY more people than smoking does.
People can make the choice to eat friend foods, but people can't make the choice to not breath the second hand smoke. Banning smoking in restaurants is one of the best laws ever!

amen to that, I enjoy leaving a bar or wherever and going home not smelling like an ashtray
^Alright I don't want to argue but that don't sound cool to me.Sounds pretty selfish if you ask me.So just because you don't smoke that means fuck everyone that does?I smoke and I think it should be a person's choice whether to go in to a place that allows smoking or not instead of the government coming along and forcing people to not allow it in a buisiness that they run and pay for.Land of the free my ass.I'm not trying to be a dick to anyone just stating that it's bullshit that the constitution say's I have the all these rights that I don't.

not the case at all, but I shouldn't have to be inhaling whats lingering around the bar the entire time i'm there. I don't really care if you smoke, just do it outside
Why should I have to though?Shouldn't it be just as much my right to smoke where I want(within reason of course)?I mean in that case I could say to you why don't you go outside? It's your choice to not smoke and I respect that but I should have the right to smoke without being treated like a second class citizen.I'm not going to rant anymore I just think that the freedom this government claims to have is bs.
I no longer smoke, but I definitely felt like there were many injustices for smokers, like absurd taxes on cigs. Why should smokers have to constantly pay higher and higher taxes on cigarettes? I don't see Bud Lights costing $9 in Vegas.

I have never smoked.
I am pretty okay with what I do.
Additionally, 90% of the litter I see around town are cigarette butts.
If people want to waste money on an unhealthy habit, I wish they would at least clean up after themselves.
